Just watch.. It's gonna be the usual 7 step process with Pakistan.. 1. Trash-talk the opponent because every Pakistani thinks their team is just too awesome. 2. Over-reliance on their singular motto - "a good bowler is a one who can throw the ball > 145 kmph" 3. Prayer threads cropping up in all Pak forums and among the fan base. Desperately seeking Allah to grant them a win.. after all cricket is a matter of "national honor" 4. When the team actually plays - unless they are already bought out (which is a good possiblity) - the team flounders, drops catches, their over-estimated "bowling attack" is torn apart.. batsmen show their true skills (lack of).. and team loses. 5. The blame game begins - Pakistani fans cry foul - from umpires to pitch to camera men to ICC to even BCCI... everyone is blamed for the loss.. conspiracy theories crop up like the beard on their faces... Remember.. Pakistan "gave away" the match.. it was NOT won by the opponent - the theory is further reinforced and chanted as a mantra by giving erroneous examples of how the batsmen did not play "proper shots" or how the bowler did not bowl "properly".. or how Cricketing technologies were hacked into. 6. Slowly as reality sinks in.. the chopping and changing discussions begin - team members are called traitors, sell outs etc etc.. drastic changes are made.. players are dislodged from the team and massive shuffling begins. 7. A new series is on the horizon - back to step number 1.

they should have retained gayle at least. i can't imagine them chasing or posting a sizeable target without him at the top. and from his perspective, how unlucky. turned down a central contract to play in franchise t20 leagues, got neglected by IPL, and now doors are shut for the national team too.
