It's lonely at the top.

You need the luck like you needed this time as you got lucky when Mumbai lost to BRC thanks to that brutal innings from Gayle. But guess what' date=' Gayle won't be there to save to next time. You can't hide behind raw luck. You know why- because luck finally runs out. It can save you once, it can save you twice, but it finally runs out. And then you will be left there in the open with no one else to save you. Just you and us.[/quote'] Yea yea Gayle was the one who screwed you last year in the finals and luck is the reason we got Gayle out twice in successive games while you guys stood there clueless. :giggle: Dude, your team has a stupid captain, dead weights, a useless keeper and a few bone head players. As long as you have that, you will not win a championship, doesn't matter who you play whether it is CSK or anyone else. In the playoffs, the stakes are higher, teams are more focused and that is when the top teams raise their game. You wouldn't know it cause your team ain't one of them, at least not yet. :cheer:

BTW all this stupid mud slinging is starting because some of guys (namely you) can't stop making comments like "you won because of luck, you were scared to play us, etc". The truth is no one is avoiding anyone, everyone is playing to get the top spot in the eliminators and everyone gets to play whoever remains standing.

For those of you accusing DomainK of stirring things up between MI fans and CSK fans, you should revisit the first post. DomainK simply stated that it is lonely at the top. Never once did he mention MI or CSK or HPCL or NATO. He made a generalized comment on how lonely it was at the top (in any given field). It was a purely philosophical take on the loneliness that creeps in at #1. We Mumbai fans are very well aware of it after decades of Ranji ( real cricket) domination. His comment was not just factually correct, but universally true. No matter who was at the top when the league stages ended, the team would be lonely because there can only be one team at #1. The corollary to his statement is that it is lonely at #2. You CSK fans, instead of being happy at your second placed finish are picking on DomainK over a matter of semantics. Shame on you. :nono:

You know a certain party is losing a debate when: 1. They start talking in a language the other party does not understand. 2. They post fake dictionary entries to provoke members of the other party because they don't know how to reply to the intelligent arguments made by them. 3. Compare them with other obvious trolls to try to dismiss their intelligent arguments because they can't answer in any intelligent way. 4. Copy thread ideas from the other party because, well, they don't have thread ideas of their own. 5. Post irrelevant smilies in reply to intelligent arguments by the other party.
