The batting look really vulnerable when chasing a decent score.. :dontknow: Pollard is a failure in this season. Sharma is not good under pressure when chasing. And after all' date= Symonds is just a farmer these days. Sachin and Rayidu will have there share of failures in this latter part of the series. So things look bleak for them. I back them to choke at knockout stages if they have to chase anything beyond 150. Someone with a special degree in Advanced Cricket can't go wrong.. :proud: It's only this part, I got it slightly wrong..

Not many would have given a semblance of chance to RCB after seeing Vettori send Zaheer khan to bat at no.3 Thanks to WICB and smart thinking of RCB management and above all Gayle's logic defying consistency has propelled them to dizzy heights. Otherwise there was always a chance for KKR and CSK to overtake MI to get to the top as it has been the pattern for some teams. They either lose in streak or win in streak. Now there is a serious chance that MI might not even finish at no.1 considering the ascendancy gained by CSK and RCB in the last few matches. Rightnow it has been exposed more than once that MI is struggling consistently against spin. CSK, KKR, RCB all 3 teams have lot of spinners to bank on. MI has to step up big big time as a unit to arrest this slide.

He severely banks on Rayudu and Rohit sharma to make up for his slow strike rate. I do not think that is a good idea. At time he has to take onus on himself and play outside his comfort zone. Dhoni's overall IPL strike rate is comparable to Sachin's . But in key matches this season he stepped up big time. He has worked out a strategy pretty fast after their slow display against KKR. He has identified 12th over is the cut off point that he has to go after bowling no matter what.

I was happy they lost miserably, but every team loses once in a while. But what really concerns me now is that they didn't bounce back today. Good teams bounce back and destroys the minnow team following a loss. Only bad teams lose two in a row against minnows. I think MI is about done. They cld prove me wrong, but looks like they have already peaked and are at the beginning of the slide. Their confidence is at an all time low.
