ICC president Sharad Pawar has requested the council's executive board to reconsider the composition of the 2015 World Cup during the ICC 's annual conference in Hong Kong in end-June. "I have given this matter further serious thought and will request the Board to consider this topic once more," Pawar said. "I can understand the views of the Associates and Affiliates and ICC will seek to deal with this issue in the best way possible." At a recent meeting on April 4, two days after the final of the 2011 World Cup, the executive board decided to allow only the ten full members of the ICC in the 2015 edition. The decision, that was reportedly taken as a part of a strategic restructure of ICC events, had met with widespread opposition, in particular from the Associate teams. The board had also agreed that the ten-team format would be in place for the 2019 World Cup as well, though the participants for that edition would be determined on the basis of qualification. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci-icc/content/current/story/511767.html A re-look is good! I hope they have a good look at the format, and realize that leaving out the associates was an unfair decision!
