But Ponting has not been throwing down the stumps consistently, in recent times. A case in point is the quarter finals match at Mohali. He had four shots at the stumps, failing to hit even once. Throughout their careers, Ponting > ABDV But at present, ABDV > * Moreover, de Villers is a better fielder at the boundary than Ponting.

Anyone who had watched cricket would not even bother arguing that Ponting is the absolute consistent best at hitting the stumps.
