hi there is debate we have among our friends that about preparing pitches like australia and newzealand or any fast or bouncy tracks , generally in cold climate conditions the ball tempt to move and swing in india all we have stadium in plains and hot humid cities since we have many hill stations in india why not prepare any one international stadium in those conditions that will help the playing conditions as foreign countries eg - in tamil nadu we have ooty,:mummydance: kodaikanal etc , if we prepare pitches or small stadiums in these conditions with pitch soil imported from other countries the pitchs and the climate conditions will more or less suits the foreign countries so our players may get practice sessions here which will help their game preparations

We don't need to go anywhere we have seen really good pitches being produced in places like Blore, Hyderabad and even Kochi was great.

False. The best swinging conditions are when it has rained but there's enough heat to cause the dampness in the pitch to evaporate and create real moisture in the air. Cold climate etc doesn't have much to do with it. It just has to be warm enough to create those kinds of conditions. The IPL has consistently brought in curators from SA, Australia and guess what? Because they leave grass on the pitch (which has to be watered) it means there's bounce/carry and when the wetness in the pitch starts to evaporate you also get swing. Fix the curators, instead of moving venues.

Is it as easy as you make it out to be? We have been talking about improving Indian pitches from 1980. Do you think Indian curators doesn't even know these basics? There must be something in the climate that makes our pitches the way they are.

Dharamshala has to be one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world along with Capetown based on its scenic natural backdrop! Its a pity it isn't being considered for international matches !- would love to see a test there
