That's my point, why did he replace Steyn and not White/Christian? I take "saf players side" when I feel the criticism of them is unwarranted, as your's is
white played well in last match christian is a good all-rounder

Leaves? Why is he leaving?
Sanga will leave by May 18th for the England tour... After that White has to be the captain. I reckon thats why they are giving him games to play..

ya but without Steyn, DC bowling is toothless. He needs to be picked. The choice is two out of Duminy, Christian, White

ya but without Steyn' date=' DC bowling is toothless. He needs to be picked. The choice is two out of Duminy, Christian, White[/quote'] I wouldn't go so far as to say "toothless" but certainly much weaker As far as the choice goes, I'd play Duminy up the order so he can play as he's used to and Christian further down White isn't doing as well as he should be But if he's going to be captain after Sanga leaves, then yeah, I guess he needs the match time Then again, once Sanga goes, there'll be room for all of them plus Steyn

Gonga needs to learn some tips about team selection. He messed in WC FInal with 5 changes, when all he needed to do was to bring Vaasy in matthews place. Now he just refuses to give theron a chance, and keeps playing three unkonwn losers as his top 3 (ok one did perform yday).

White is a liability now. Get Steyn in ahead of them and strengthen their bowling a bit. Still, the selection was a brainfart and I don't think they will be anywhere near Top 6. Perhaps they have booked their place (the 9th or tenth one). :P

leave all these talks folks. The main reason for :dc: loss was Cameron White & no one else. Sanga lost his wicket bcoz of him. Duminy laso bcoz oh him i mean how can an international player play like a child when u r needed 10 an over & u just look for singles withought even trying to hit ball far. :wall: :wall: I am realy disapointed by sanga's captaincy aswell. In all the matches of the hell he bat at 3 & suddenly when team needed 89 off 72 balls at 1st wicket he suddenly sends Chipli at 3 & hence they were not able to cut the gap of 19 since then. It was wise decesion by sanga by trusting indian bowlers & it almost almost right till 19th over when Ishant had brain fart & bowled 3 half Vollies to Morkel in a row. But Tomorrow there will be no confusion in sanga's mind about playing XI. Sunny Sohal Dhavan Sanga Duminy Chipli Christian Mishra Steyn Ishant Ojha/Gony

I dont understand how DC is giving chance after chance to White who is in abysmal form off late. He is a poor player of spin, struggles to put the bat on to the ball and I cant fathom that he is preferred over Duminy who is a good compact player and bowl a bit of his off-spin once in a while. What does Camreon has which Duminy doesn't have? Duminy has been OK in first 2 games, but White is preferred over him as soon has he joins DC team from Bangladesh. Also I dont understand how Christian is not promoted up the order when run rate was going up yesterday. It was just pathetic to see White is sent who choked up the runs from one end, which made Sanga to go for ugly shot and get out.

I think Steyn was dropped simply because the pitch was slow and the extra pace he generates will help the batsmen play their shots. If you look at most bowlers who bowled yesterday, barring Bollinger who is good with varying pace, most of the quickies went for runs with Ishant going for 3 sixes in the final over. Bowlers like Harmeet Singh were effective simply because they take the pace off the ball and DC batting is particularly weak so they went in with both White and Duminy.

That was pathetic and one of the most surprising team selection. If Steyn would have played then CSK might have struggled for sure. Raina especially has never been good against Steyn.
