Alchemist Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Good that Laden Died. Now I will get to see some thing else rather that Roal Wedding on TV.
Alchemist Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 CNN confirms this was a US only operation - no other country was informed. May be US was burnt before by this. May be the Pakis played this game before.

Late Cut Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 May be US was burnt before by this. May be the Pakis played this game before. Clearly couldnt trust them with info.
satyam1729 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 The Pakistan Army has been criticized within Pakistan for not shooting down the drones. How are they going to explain the ability of the U.S. to run a Special Ops force that far into Pakistan via helicopters and the PA not doing anything about it?
seedhi Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Have to also admire the US Special Ops - going so deep into enemy territory, killing Osama inside a fortified compound and escaping back with his body. :hatsoff:
Silva Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Obama had to give credit to Pakistan otherwise it would have had caused a lot of tension if he sent military forces near islamabad without the permission of the government. Its funny to Pakistanis trying to take credit for this.
Jersey #10 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 This is worrying. Even Osama Bin Laden is not safe in Pakistan.
Prakat Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 No wonder pak doesn't get intl cricket at home ' date=' even osama is not safe in pakistan.[/quote'] :acute:
straight.drive Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 More details about the operation - Lots of Retired Army generals live in the town - Huge mansion atleast 3-4 times larger than any other house around it - 3 story structure - 12-18 feet walls - Large amount of security - Osama did resist and try to put up a fight - US went with the operation alone. Nobody else was informed. Osama must be killed for stupidity alone.:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Who would want to live in such a huge, conspicuous and lavish mansion, especially if you are on a most wanted list
seedhi Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Obama and everyone else has made it clear that US informed pakis ONLY AFTER OBL was dead. He rang up Zardari to tell him this, and Zardari obviously agreed that "it was a good development". Serious credibility crisis for the paki fauj that a such an operation can be successfully launched so deep inside.
Prakat Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Obama as usual articulates Pakistan's positions better than Pakistan :- GB twitter Who be GB??

And hence US attacked swiftly.
straight.drive Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 i still don't get why the euphoria. He was a symbol of JIhadi forces for two decades. Is that not a reason? :dontknow:
seedhi Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Abbottabad is much much closed to Indian border than to Afghanistan. It is possible that India was involved and the helis crossed over from the Indian side and back.
