The article is big and hence just put the link. But the article is not the main thing. Take a look at approximate 5000 comments by general people. They have valid points and reflect what normal Americans think about Pakistan and Bin Laden. Some of the comments talk about India too. Comment filter tools helped me look at most rated and most replied comments.

The Indians and Pakistanis in my office get along quite well after all we are all born here in Canada and not really indoctrined the way these fanatic Pakistanis who are coming to the west are in recent times. She's an acquaintance and guess what happened on the day of Bin Laden's death its all everyone could talk about in our office. A gora work colleague comes up to me and says hey you heard Bin Laden is dead I respond hell - yah of course I'm glad the dog is dead I hope Pak stops harboring terrorists that are attacking India and the West. The girl comes into the lunch room he says Mariyam you hear about Bin Laden - she agrees and he says "is your background Indian or Pakistani?" Her response - my parents are actually from India...DEAD LIE So when we are leaving i said to her...I thought you said your background is Hyderabad PAKISTANI...she told me look - i'd prefer not to make a big deal of it - my mother said to me if anyone talks about this tomorrow just say your from India. Thats right people here from Pakistan are so ashamed they are lying and trying to pass themselves off as Indian. Very tragic that this is what the world has come to for the typical descent Pakistani :((

No one in an educated workplace is going to be down right discriminatory but definately Pakistan is viewed way more unfavorably by the common American. Look in your own country - How many prominent Indians are in the US compared to Pakistanis? Aneesh Chopra, Vivek Kundra, Fareed Zakaria Sanjay Gupta There are CEOS of Mastercard, Pepsi McKinsley, Adobe and tons of fortune 500 companies. Deans of Harvard and many other prestigeous universities. Indians elected by Americans Bobby Jindal and Nikki Randhawa as governors. Pakistanis are now lying saying they are Indians to so much as get a basic job forget about the preeminent positions. Why is it that there are no Pakistanis in high positions in the US government or running top fortune 500 companies? Would the typical American ever vote for a Pakistani origin official?
