The Outsider Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Not having watched it or a lot of T20 I may not be in a position to judge, but to score 120 runs when no one in the team passed 20 is a phenomenal achievement.
Rajiv Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Chasing wise - it was phenomenol and daring. Its like his triple verson of T20
Ultimate_Game Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 It was an amazing innings no doubt when everyone other than Sehwag struggled. It was very similar to a odi 100 Sehwag scored in NZ way back in 2003 where everyone struggled and the next best score was 20 or 30 odd on either side. However the best odi innings for me was the one Hussey played against Pakistan in the T20 S/F coz it was an intl T20 game, quality of the bowling was higher and it was a S/F game of a global tourney. If this were an intl game I would have rated it best considering it came when the team was chasing a huge total (175) and were 20 odd for 3 in 7 overs. To win from that position was remarkable and that too when the bowling team had decent bowling attack (Steyn, Ishant, Mishra).
vvvslaxman Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Dale Steyn patted him back right after he got out. Dan Christian ran from somewhere to pat on his back. Whole DC crowd enjoyed the brilliant onslaught.
The Outsider Posted May 6, 2011 Author Posted May 6, 2011 Just finished watching the highlights - have to say it is the best T20 innings I've ever seen. The most impressive part was the manner in which he tried to control the strike once he realized his teammates are going to do jack. Just on the basis of this knock, I hope Delhi make it to the playoffs.

CoverDrive Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 agree Hussey did the impossible and it was in a world T20 semi. some other great innings. Chris Gayle 100 in the First WorldT20 against SA Yuvi against Aus in 07 world cup T20 KP in 2010 final Pollard against NSW in the first CLT20 when he single handedly won them the match and which brought him to prominence. McCullum 150+ in the first IPL match ever
cricketlover Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 I didnt see this so cant comment. But its gonna be hard for it to top these 2 Mccullum - first ever IPL match. Ponting - 98* vs nz most entertaining ever. robelinda2 has uploaded it. worth a watch
Holysmoke Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 One of the best. Some of these knocks (like McCullums 158*) are so good, it is difficult to separate them.
Aaku Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Oh yaaaaaaaa.. kabira Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 I rate Yuvi's semifinal knock in T20 cup higher than this. He scored fastest fifty ever....beat that.
