If the SLPL got the services of Raina, Yusuf Pathan, or even Kohli, then that's a big scoop.

Sir_Afridi Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 You're laughing as if they have signed for PPL! As jairamesh said this is another way of making 'pocket money' for our fringe players..nothing to laugh dumbo :thefinger: I can laugh whenever I want.:cantstop::giggle::hysterical::haha::yay: Also, I am surprised BCCI allowed Indian players to join non Indian league.

vvvslaxman Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 It's to let the Pakistan & SL cricketers to gain experience from and play alongside IPL stars. Exactly. DK gets 90000$ with PKXI. He gets 30000 from SL league. That is 30 times less . Unless it is some sort of social service he would not be playing.
bangladeshifan Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Negenahira Nagas (eastern cobras) have taken tamim iqbal B->B->B->B-> shahid afridi is the captain :nervous::nervous::nervous:

kabira Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Nice to see the boys be allowed to strut their stuff and earn some pocket money for 2 weeks of work: Dinesh Karthik, Irfan Pathan, Manish Pandey, Manoj Tiwary, Munaf Patel, Paul Valthaty, Praveen Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Saurabh Tiwary, Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar. none of the above are guaranteed squad members for one-day team. If the SLPL got the services of Raina, Yusuf Pathan, or even Kohli, then that's a big scoop. HIgh probability that Praveen Kumar will tour England and I think Munaf will be in contentional as well. So those two are not certain to play SLPL
rajmarie Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 IMO...they should replace Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar & Ashwin with Rahul Sharma, Robin Uttappa & either Ojha or Iqbal Abdulla.
CoverDrive Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Big up for a guy like Valthaty as he is not going to get a India Cap anytime (most likely) so his IPL earnings will be low always- good chance to make some earnings. Rayudu is missing here would be much more valuable than a lot of people in the list
jairamesh Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 With the number tier III Indian players in this, it might as well be called: IPL Mini Me
jashan83 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Worst idea' date=' i hope BCB doesnt give NOC to Tamim. We have Tests against Zimboes over the summer.[/quote'] Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal is set to miss his opportunity to play in the upcoming Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL). SLPL, which is scheduled for July 20 to August 4, will overlap Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe and the opener will be on duty for the national side. “I was interested to participate in the SLPL but I will be busy training with the national team during that time. Not only for me but I think for every player, national duty comes first. So, I have no regret whatsoever that I won’t be able to make it for the SLPL,†said Tamim who is currently passing his holidays in Chittagong with his family and friends. Tamim signed a contract with the Somerset Entertainment Ventures, a Singapore-based company who are handling the SLPL management. The contract was reached during the World Cup but any contact is yet to be made by any SLPL side.

jashan83 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 ^^ Thank God' date=' no need for more T20 Crapfest.[/quote'] Then why did Bangladesh have NCL T20. They also started it on Franchise model and took 65 Lakh Taka per team. I think they plan to continue it. Also why have a DPL and PCT20. When others have it don't be jealous
rajmarie Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 ^^ Thank God' date=' no need for more T20 Crapfest.[/quote'] Dont call T20 crapfest....its have its fans...& IMO it played a big part in making the 2011 WC exciting. Good luck & good move by Tamim though. Although still cant believe that KKR didit sign him for replacement of Haddin. He could have been a much better buy for KKR then the commentator
vvvslaxman Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 How much you think fine in SLPL for a spat like this. If they fine 50,000$ the players will have to pay out of pocket :cantstop:
Rana Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 How much you think fine in SLPL for a spat like this. If they fine 50,000$ the players will have to pay out of pocket :cantstop: It doesnt have idiotic people like warne to loot the money, no need for fines.
