At least in Kerala I do not see that happening. In West Bengal too Mamata is nothing but an opportunist as has been evident in the last couple of years. I am not sure public will sweep out Left from Bengal after seeing her opportunistic and double faced character.

The extraordinary voter turnout pretty much indicated that - some places saw upwards of 80% polling which is unheard of in most elections. Communism, anyways, is an archaic philosophy which will die out sooner at some places, later at others. Having said that the Communist parties in India offer a decent balance to the overall polity and it would be good if they reinvent themselves with changing times and make themselves into Socialistic rather than Communist platforms.

Its time for some change in the form of Mamata Banerjee - although I'm not sure that it will be positive change because she is a kind of volatile/unstable type of a person and is an opportunist. In Kerela its the infighting between the CM and P Vijayan that has cost the Left dearly.

I am not a fan of any particular party but I would like to say one thing. Political party of national level should have their own ideology, they must not be dependent on certain individual, there must be something called as internal democracy within the party while choosing their leaders and so on. To be frank in my opinion their are currently two political parties in India BJP and Left. Rest all are Rahul Baba party, Mamta didi party, Mayawati Bahen party, Mulayam Singhs party, Karunanidhi party and so on relying on certain individuals.

She has a good educational background, has the support of the people, has no personal vested interest (no family), still she manages to be as corrupt and useless as the rest. :dontknow:
