Most of the people in India (read: the common man) can read through all that drama and acting this guy does like going to dalits houses, breaching his security cordon etc. He simply is not good enough to be PM.[/quote'] He is the de-facto next PM after MMS if Congress continues to be in power.
saneindian Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Why does Rahul Baba reach such spots only after people have been killed? Where was he for the last 3-4 years when the farmers were protesting peacefully?
Stuge Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Why does Rahul Baba reach such spots only after people have been killed? Where was he for the last 3-4 years when the farmers were protesting peacefully? Dude ,it needs no explanation .Congress is trying to seize the moment to gain political mileage . Politicians are like vultures for them dead man is more fruitful than the alive man .
saneindian Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Dude ,it needs no explanation .Congress is trying to seize the moment to gain political mileage . Politicians are like vultures for them dead man is more fruitful than the alive man . Works well for Maya. Helps her consolidate her own vote bank. The villages that the UP police have gone after are either jat dominated or yadav dominated none of whom vote for Maya. In a way, this entire drams would end up consolidating Maya's vote bank some of whom had started to get disenchanted.

ViruRulez Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 The various political parties opposing this are not against development. What they are opposing is the way land is being acquired form the farmers - in a very large majority of the cases like this' date=' the land is acquired from the farmers forcefully and they are either not given any compensation or the compensation they receive is very inadequate. That is the main issue here methinks.[/quote'] No offense but if you think these political parties are really interested in those people then you are in some sort of wonderland. They are raising it for the sake of politics and nothing else. Compensation has been given and all those people are asking double the rates now. They were being paid at the 2007 rates and that too somewhat in excess. Now Mayawati and UP govt. planned all this and development took place at an astounding pace and now the land rates has multiplied several times as it happens with any developed area. So, the rates have become massive now and the farmers are saying that they are cheated as the land rates have increased a lot. Shut the feck farmers. I respect farmers but this is just opportunistic behavior and nothing different from the politicians. Mayawati has also announced lease rent even year paid to the farmers for the lands in addition to the market price she paid. Just check properties in Greater Noida and you will know that all are leasehold and you need to pay lease rent to the builders. What more do they want. The land was bought by UP govt. at Rs 1050 per metre in Greater Noida and many of those farmers had got several crores. If they had got some brains and instead of throwing it away and spending if they had invested somewhere it might have given them huge returns. Even if they had made fixed deposit in banks then it would have earned at least Rs. 70000 a month which even a highly educated tech guy does not earn. Secondly, the farmers in Agra are protesting saying they should be paid at the rates of Greater Noida. Shut the feck. Theat is BS. How can the land rates in Agra be same as Noida. So, tomorrow villages of Orissa would say that their land rates should be same as Delhi and Mumbai. Cut the crap. These are all opportunist and nothing else. I am a huge critic of Mayawati but I would not go for lies and all these political parties are playing politics for the sake of it and stopping development and nothing else. None of those politicians cares about the farmers and are only playing dirty politics for the sake of it. The farmers are also getting greedy after seeing the development. FFS just make a fixed deposit in the bank and you will get 9% return at least from any good bank per year. It is not as if farmers had only a few meters of land but they would have got several acres and got at least 1 crore. Just invest the crore in a bank and get 9% on FD which would mean 9 lakhs a year and Rs.75000 a month. In addition they would also get the lease rent every year for their lands and Mayawati has also kept the lease and so that is another benefit. That is more than even a highly educated person earns in India. Bloody even a President's salary is not 75K a month. They are just getting more greedy to be frank and political parties are playing dirty politics. In this case, Mayawati or her govt. has done no wrong. I dont like Maya but I wont take BS and lies which are against the development of the nation.
King Tendulkar Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 What a pathetic drama Ghandhi is indulging in. Shows he is as pathetic as the rest.
kabira Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 First of all, why did he signed on Bail documents. Never heard someone fighting for a cause signing for the bail. LOL. Where was Rahul when there is widespread agitation in Jaitapur for land acquisition there??
King Tendulkar Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Well his mum is in charge of the country. Why dont he ask her to to reform laws and do something from the centre. Never heard of the govt in power doing protests, the irony is pathetic Trying to make out he is some kind of frredom struggler like Mhatama or something, getting arrested etc:hysterical: probably beeged the officers to arrest him for the photo op. Reminds of Tamil Nadus CM fake hunger strike. Ghandhi shown himself to be pathetic drama queen, attention seeker.

Not to be confused with Gandhi (Mahatma). Firoz Ghandi and family. They call themselves Gandhi to cash in the fame of Mahatma Gandhi.. Remember that Naxal leader who is in custody now? He too is Ghandi. Rahul is also a Ghandi..
kabira Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 ^interesting. But in general foreigners spell it Ghandi even for Mahatma Gandhi. I understand foreigners making such mistakes, as they pronounce it Ghandi

Rahul is also a Ghandi.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feroze_Gandhi Feroze Gandhi was born in Bombay, to a Parsi family from Gujarat. He was the youngest child among four siblings, with father Jehangir Faredoon , a marine engineer and mother Rattimai.[3] His family had migrated to Bombay from Bharuch in South Gujarat, where his ancestral home which belonged to his grandfather, still exists in Kotpariwad, city’s Parsi neighbourhood. His family was not related to that of Mahatma Gandhi.[3]:p93 In early 1920s, with his father Jehangir Faredoon dead, he and his mother Rattimai Faredoon moved to Allahabad to live with their unmarried aunt, Dr. Shirin Commissariat, a well known surgeon at city's Lady Dufferin Hospital. He attended the Vidya Mandir High School, and then graduated from the British-staffed Ewing Christian College.[3] Later, he was to study at the London School of Economics. Not sure astrix about him changing his surname. Even his brother is named Rustom Gandhi
asterix Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 ^interesting. But in general foreigners spell it Ghandi even for Mahatma Gandhi. I understand foreigners making such mistakes, as they pronounce it Ghandi For me the present "Gandhi clan" has always been Khan-Ghandi..There's no ambiguity there..
ViruRulez Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 They are saying they are not given any compensation. Also police fire killed few farmers (unarmed) and some of the farmers are missing. Digvijaysingh charged Mayavati for bribe' date=' she took 3000 Rs per sq metre. He said this on air.[/quote'] Saare Politicians to India ke naam pe kalank hai hi par Digvijay to politicians ke naam pe bhi kalank hai. :giggle: He does nothing except charging. Regarding the firing the police fired only when the villages started firing themselves. The villagers at first kidnapped roadways employees and captured Jaypee company machinery. Then when police went to release the captives from the villagers then the villagers started shooting to the police and 2 policemen died and it was only then that the police fired. They were no unarmed. They were bloody goons. Where did those villagers get those guns. Dont teach me about UP. Mujhe bhi pata hai UP aur Bihar ke villagers kitne doodh ke dhule hue hai. Kattas and illegal arms are common in UP and these villagers were nothing less than goons. BTW ye mere desh ke logo ko kya ho gaya. For you and most people nowadays, if a villager, goon or a terrorist dies you make it up as if the worst thing happened and bring human rights. But were those two policemen not human. I am not a fan of police either and hate most corrupt policewalas and dont care them. But at the same time, they were simply doing their work in this case and they were killed by villagers but then you are fine with those killings but the one villager killed is a bigger issue. No wonder that goons and terrorists are increasing in India day by day when we dont respect the lives of our security forces even when they do the right. And where did you read that the villagers were not given compensation. They are asking for double the rates as the rates have more than doubled since 2007 mainly because of the rapid development in the planned city of Greater Noida. And about Agra farmers asking for same rates as Noida the lesser said the better. With such attitudes we would never develop. In China at least everybody would have united and not opposed in terms of development of the nation.
ViruRulez Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 BTW Party abhi shuru hua hai. Aur politics lo. Aaj aur parties bhi limelight lene ke chakkar me hai by getting arrested. :D Senior BJP leaders, BKU leader arrested GHAZIABAD: Senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi were arrested here by the Uttar Pradesh Police when they were agitating in support of farmers of Greater Noida who want more compensation from the state government for their acquired land. The arrests evoked a strong reaction from the party which alleged that Uttar Pradesh was being run under a "dictatorship" and vowed to continue its protest "irrespective of repression". The BJP leaders were arrested on charge of breach of peace under section 151 CrPC and taken to the police lines in a police van in the district where prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC which do not allow assembly of four or more persons were already imposed. Rajnath Singh had started a 24-hour fast today at the Ambedkar park here to protest against atrocities on farmers by the UP government. Jaitley and Naqvi, along with some state unit leaders of BJP, had gathered to support him. After the arrest, Rajnath said wherever he is kept under detention, his fast would continue till 11am tomorrow. He alleged that there was utter lawlessness and rampant corruption in Uttar Pradesh under the BSP government. Earlier, the former UP chief minister said if a BJP government came to power it would form a commission to investigate all corruption cases against the Mayawati government. "The situation in UP is such that even legitimate protest is prohibited. This is an intolerant government. Our protest will continue irrespective of repression," Jaitley told PTI after the arrest. Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha alleged that Mayawati was being dictatorial and acting like an "Ottoman ruler". "UP is being run like under a dictatorship. Sitting on a hunger strike for 24 hours is an absolutely assured democratic right. How can you arrest somebody not indulging in looting or rioting? Which law was broken that necessitated their arrest. I am absolutely shocked at the behaviour of the government," Sinha said. He maintained that it was the Mayawati government which had ordered firing on the agitating villagers. "If the opposition goes there, you cannot find fault with them. It is our duty to reach out to the farmers in this hour of need," he said. The former union minister insisted Mayawati was acting in a "very unwise manner". "This is not the way this issue will be surpressed and if she does not allow expression of opposition then she is in for a great deal of trouble.... If she thinks she a ruler like the Ottoman king then she is completely mistaken," Sinha said. BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar maintained that both Congress and BSP were responsible for the present state of affairs. Meanwhile, senior Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait was on Thursday arrested while he was on his way to the troubled Batta Parsaul area of Greater Noida to meet the agitating farmers. Tikait and 100 other BKU workers were arrested when they broke a police barrier in Ganga Nagar while on their way to Bhatta Parsaul in Greater Noida, DIG (Meerut) Prem Prakash said. Tikait, BKU's national spokesperson, and his associates were kept at the police line, Prakash added. Tikait said that they were going to the troubled area to help in restoration of normalcy in the region by talking with the agitating farmers. He said that BKU chief Mahendra Singh Tikait could not come personally as he was not well. Tension prevailed in Greater Noida following the death of four people, including farmers and polica, in police firing when the farmers' agitation demanding better compensation for land acquired for the Yamuna Expressway project turned violent. The entire issue has also gained political heat with the visit of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi who was arrested by police on Wednesday during his visit to the troubled Bhatta Parsaul region. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Senior-BJP-leaders-BKU-leader-arrested/articleshow/8268953.cms
