I understand Pitersen's wicket being important, but surely selecting a player for solely Pietersen's wicket is abit overtop for upcoming tests. A quality attack should have in their ability to take the best out!

OJha, Jaddu, Iqbal Abdulla, Yuvi.

Please don't select Yuvi in tests to just get KP out. Yuvi has always struggled in tests.

He needs to stop planting his front foot stright down the wicket. Get the foot on the leg side of the ball and play through the off side. Also play with the bat in front of the pad.

He tried that and he started getting bowled . They showed a bunch of his dismissals.

:cantstop: That's because his bat was not coming down straight. If he plays with the straight bat and gets the foot on the leg side of the ball (drive to mid off/extra cover), he'll have a better chance.

that was the advice given by Dravid to KP last year ... what Dravid didnt realize is that this guy is a huge fella and cannot have proper balance when he opens up his left leg ... he ended up leaving a huge gap between bat and pad and hence would easily get bowled if the ball turned a bit (This is just my theory) . He was bowled by a no name WI part timer which was just horrible. Dravid's advice would probably work for shorter batsmen. He also tried running into the spinner ... ended up getting stumped :--D

:hysterical: Two problems... 1) Bat coming down from 2nd slip and playing across (bowled by Yuvraj) 2) Like you said, if it turns a bit, he gets into real **** (bowled by Razzak of Bangladesh on 99) More than anything, it has now become a mental issue. He keeps saying that it's not a problem and thinks that he needs to smash the ball around to prove it.
