The funniest thing is the crude price average in these 9 months has remained static at around $90-95 per barrel. With no assembly election due for the next 12 months, expect few more price hikes. So much for the aam aadmi. What's worse is very soon the prices of LPG cylinders is going to be raised as well and they will take it to the market price level of around Rs 600 per cylinder!!

kabira Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 CNG is perfectly safe. Even CNG prices going to go up soon. But yes you will save a lot on CNG. Typically if you use Maruti 800, it will cost you 4 Rs per km on petrol but around 1.25 to 1.5 Rs per km on CnG.

Premium would be higher .... the price in India looks to be in line with what's charged at many places internationally But then internationally avg earnings would be say $50k/Year, while in India it would be comparitively less. But then the cost of living would be less in India like you can get a haircut of INR50-60 but here you pay like $30-$50. Not to forger the cost of insurance like auto. And in Ind, you are likely to find vehicles which run say 12-16 kmpl, while in Canada, it would probably be 1/2 of that, i.e. 6-8 kmpl On the surface, this looks evens stevens, may be a little cheaper in India :P
