ganeshran Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 This isnt the first time Vijay has acted too casual on a outfield catch. Usually he is able to hold on to it and it comes off looking stylish. But the one in today's match was the worst possible position to take a catch and he didnt keep his eyes on the ball either. Hope he is more careful in the future. Hope Dhoni gives him a good dressing down after the match
ganeshran Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 I hope Hodge doesnt do anything sensational here
anotherhawkeye Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 ^ He nearly won the match for KTK. Stupid Vijay. Got a earful from coach. Hope he learns from his mistake. He doesn't contribute with bat, now this. I hope they bench in the next match and see what Anirudha is made up of.
yoda Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Catches do get dropped, but Vijay needs to change his attitude. He is being a bit too casual of late including the lazy effort the last time he got run out.
ganeshran Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 If he had dropped the catch after getting into position, it wouldnt be disappointing. Everyone makes mistakes. It was his approach that was bad. Hope he learns from this

Ram Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 BS… I love his catching style – Ek dum badasss..:bandit:. I still remember, during last year’s semi-final against DC.. Ryan Harris hit one flat and hard to long-off during the dying moments of the game.. Vijay, in his usual inimitable style, took it, glanced back at the DC dug-out (which was right behind him) with a look that said ‘We won, *****holes..’, chucked the ball to the side and simply walked away.. :icflove: Now that is style! You go boy, you have my full support. EVEN Sunil Gavaskar took a break from his personal milestone countdown routine and seemed to be REALLY impressed by it. P.S; However, had we lost the match, I would have personally roasted your ***** P.S.1; For all his confidence on the field, when somebody puts a mike in front of Vijay, he is absolutely sh!t-scared and can barely eek out a few words.. :hysterical:
Sachinism Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Big deal he dropped a catch. Who doesn't drop catches?

vvvslaxman Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Lot of guys i know in local cricket clubs take catches like that. To make it look stylish they make absolutely minimal movements.

It fine if you are in the right position. But if your a few feet away from and make 'spectacular dive' in the last seconds to make it look cooler and feck it up makes you look like a dud.

vvvslaxman Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Guy thinks he is already a superstar someone should remind him of Robin Uthappa and his silly haircut and bows I think he is better than Uthappa. He just takes the catch with minimum movements and doesn't do much after taking the catch. But Uthappa starts everything after he takes the catch which is totally silly.
