Though i wonder what happened that they all went against him under him you won 2-1 Down Under.[/quote'] I liked Inzi's approach on coaching (well, if he can even do coaching, thats a different story but), once Ramiz asked his thoughts whether he would like to coach, he replied you should never coach the guys whom you played with, there should be a gap of 10,12 years at least... Here no matter whether Afridi is on fault or Waqar but because both have played together for good 5,6 years, both have seen ups and downs, strength and weaknesses of each other's career and personality very closely so naturally there will not be as bigger level of respect and mutual co-operation as compared to player vs coach having a 10,15 year of gap in their careers...

If Dravid takes retirment and starts coaching of current Indian Test team vs if Gavasker do, what you say? or VVS Laxman vs Shastri... or Gaguly vs Kapel Dev? In each case, would it be first one expected to be more successful indian coach or 2nd one?

I dont agree with blanket statements like contemporary players cant come up for coaching because they will have ego clashes. At the end it depends on the players and the coach themselves. If the coach makes sure he gives the players the space they need and at the same time gets the work done, I dont see why a age gap is needed. If the coach wants to hog the limelight and boss the players around, problems will arise even if he is 20 years senior to them

Robin Singh and Prasad were coaching India in 2007 in a team that had Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble etc. Tendulkar and Ganguly captained both Robin and Prasad when they played.

Should have been leading the side once Younis opted out/got sacked. One of the rare sensible Pakistani cricketers who doesn't believe in hyperbole and fake aggression but is a fierce competitor. If he is given enough backing, he could well pull the Pakistani team out of the shambles and produce consistent results.

Rameez is more himself in these show,s than in the Comm Box where sometimes it feels he is pretending though in general i feel for the guy he follow,s or travel,s with them and whenever there,s a controversy he has to answer them u could see it during the English tour last O.D.I where he looked really upset with the stupidity caused by Ijaz Butt
