Sehwag1830
How bad have Srilanka become ? They have not won a ODI or test series against any major side in last 1 year. Link to comment
ganeshran
Murali's retirement is the main reason. He could apply pressure in the middle overs which the other spinners arent able to do. Looks like sidhoni's prediction came true three years earlier :cantstop: Link to comment
Cricket Tragic
Very bad - they just lost to Pakistan. But seriously, they are still a force in ODIs. Their test attacks looks terrible though and they will also have to find replacements for Sanga and Lady Jaya. Link to comment

The only decent batsman to come out of the setup recently is Chandimal and he doesnt look anywhere near the class of whinga and lady jaya. Mathooz embarrasses himself against Ajmal's spin Link to comment
Malcolm Merlyn
They got beaten by Pakistan..........enough said.Even WI did better than this. Link to comment
Pagalpanti
Very bad. I can see Dilshan getting sacked, dropping Samarweera was the biggest mistake he made and I guess with the problem going on back home 2nd interim board dissolved in 6 months, players not getting paid. Focus isn't there, it might not be like this for too long, they're better team than this. They won 2 games in England, which we couldn't manage. :(( Link to comment
akshayxyz
So, what happened to the conspiracy theories of SL 'gifting' WC to India., are they still pretending, so as to make our WC win look genuine? Link to comment
akshayxyz
And, I am waiting for the comments - Pakistan has beaten SL more comprehensively than India in WC Final. So Pak >= India. Link to comment
AGHORI
Srilanka is facing so many problems regarding their team performance, working of their board, the financial crisis their board is facing and the match fixing allegations.but their mentor Tony greigs silence regarding all these issues is pathetic. Looks like sidhoni's prediction came true three years earlier :cantstop: I don't think bowling is that much of an issue, they have managed to contain pakistan's batting in most matches. Their batting is certainly looking flaky, Sanga and Jaya have been uncharacteristically slow, and Chandimal has been disappointing after a decent ODI series in England. Tharanga has gone off the boil since coming back from his Steriods ban. And Matthews needs to figure his role in the team, the much touted potential captain is playing as a no-rounder. MCcricket
Sri Lankan board is a joke, it is one country where selections are not fair, u have to be such and such from this region, corruption, Sanga, Jaya only batsmen there, replacements not good enuff, bowling very mediocre.Suraj Randiv, Samaweera, Mahroof where are they?Ranatunga is the Bedi of Sri Lankan cricket, their ex players , administration and commentators suck , it is a shame from being a good Odi and at home very good test side to a second grade side. Ultimate_Game
We knew SL will go down post Murali but now even SL's batting is failing big time. To be honest if you take out Malinga, SL will struggle to beat WI & NZ. They currently have just 3-4 decent players - Sangakkara, Malinga, Jayawardene and Dilshan if you are feeling magnanimous. Other than these there's no new talent coming up and worst of all all these players will retire in the next 3-4 years' time. Link to comment
