CSK Fan Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 According to some people, if captaincy were runs , Dhoni would have surpassed Bradman. He is the best out there and put any rag-tag team in front of him and he would lead them to be world-beaters. Bah, I say to them. The over-rated guy has been living off the laurels of other stronger leaders in the team Here are 4 of them 1) Zaheer - the bowling captain From setting fields, to advicing new-comers that striving to bowl faster than him is not the right way to go and that they better cut down on their pace before they lose their Indian citizenship, Zaheer is a visible leader when India fields. He has been known to walk up to Dhoni and enquire the exact pace at which a ball thuds into his glove whenever a new bowler comes onto the scene. One can often see the very familiar scene of Zaheer animatedly waving his hand around like a telegraph pole, setting fields while Dhoni looks into the distance, expressionless 2) Munaf- the fielding captain Ever since Munaf has become a firm favourite of Jonty, his mere presence on the filed inspires youngsters. Fielding routine during nets now consist of learning the 'dadaji' dives and the daddu stops. 3) Sachin - the mentoring and inspiring captain. Sachin must have single-handedly saved more young careers with his advice, than Dr House has saved patients. He also has more dedications made to him than the muslims of the world. 4) Harbhajan - the emotional captain Whether its abusing the opposition players, slapping team members to bring them in line or to giing a mouthful to a fielder making a mistake- Bhajji is the go to guy. Often time Dhoni has been known to secretly pass a list of players to him before/during a game with instructions on whom to slap or abuse. and Dhoni's Luca Brasi always gets his man, often going much beyond Dhoni's instructions. Bhajji allows dhoni to maintain a calm external demenaour and keep a poker face, knowing full well that the erring player would soon get an offer he cant refuse Now with all these leaders and captains in the team, Dhoni's only job is to turn up for the toss.
Sooda Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Id say if runs were captaincy he'd be strictly in ...oh I dont know...maybe Azharuddin territory.
1983-2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Gambhir lead us to 5-0 against kiwis even though we had few key players missing, raina has won us these ODI series against windies with half a dozen players missing so I don't think its all about Dhoni dhoni as people like to say but guess what who cares!! we have won T20 and ODI world cup under DhoniB->B->B->
CSK Fan Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 Id say if runs were captaincy he'd be strictly in ...oh I dont know...maybe Azharuddin territory. Lol, thanks, corrected. But no more serious replies, this is a trolling thread only
Mystique_Myth Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 LOL @ TS just a few victories under other captain nd u all forgot what he has done to indian cricket? :haha:
rahulrulezz Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 :hysterical::hysterical:Funniest bit was Bhajji as a emotional captain.. MTC, I have become fan of yours bro!!
DomainK Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 lol....it was a fun read. I think the points actually prove that Dhoni is indeed a great captain. Not many have either the wisdom or the courage to allow players under him take charge that easily. He has very visibly and completely delegated the bowling-leadership to ZAK and takes full advantage of ZAK's skills, experience and confidence. But when things go wrong, like a true leader, he takes the blame on his own head and never tries to put it on ZAK who was leading.
phaedrus Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 no wonder Dhoni doesnt want to hog the limelight. :giggle:
achilles Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Ya. He should stick to Chennai team. They loves him and he lookz good wonly in ellooo jersey.
