T1D1 - WI upper hand

WI have a slight upper hand at the end of Day1. They are bit ahead, not because India didn't score much, but they got them all out. They will get ahead in the test, if they score 300. Now watch them crumble ... I didn't watch it, but from match articles, it looks like the pitch can misbehave in the 4th inn. Unless they score their 2nd innings score in the first innings itself, WI will lose this test. Like Shastri puts it, they have tp bat once and bat big. Looks like the youngsters are still in IPL mode.

Definitely WI is on top here..But their batting depends on how well Sarwan,Chanderpaul and Nash play..Unfortunately our bowling is weak...Dont think Pravin's 75mph , Bhajji's leg stump darts will buy us wickets..Ishant is too unpredictable..

Ishant was bowling good line and length yesterday. Praveen I think is done for this innings, he might just get swing for couple of more overs today at the start and then they can deal with him easily. Harbhajan seriously has to attack, I'm not sure why he isn't he can be such an effective bowler, he shouldn't care if even goes for 6 rpo but should continue to attack

Seriously what match have people been watching here? The fast bowlers continiously beat the batsmen, Ishant with bounce, PK with swing. The Windies tried maybe just twice to step out and bat against the spin on the front foot and one of them was a miscued lofted shot. Their batsmen at no point looked fluent in scoring against any of our bowlers. To say they will somehow manage to put together 300 when most of them can't even pick/read a googly is the kind of wrist slitting crap that I expect from drama queens, not astute fans of the game.

Well WI will certainly be more satisfied from the day's play than us, since we'd have expected to make at least 350 in the first innings. Nevertheless after being 80 odd for 6, ending the day with 250 odd runs and Windies a wicket down means we've come back a little. Windies haven't done enough to take the game away from us so pressure will be on them.

We're on top. It may appear they're on top, but this pitch has a lot in it, if our bowlers get it right, we could end up with a lead of about 60. Batting last will become even more difficult as the game goes on, so we should feel aggrieved about not getting a few more runs, but we can still do it
