Hats off mr. Rahul. Its a pleasure to watch such a legend in action after a long time in test cricket. He did struggled a bit in the begining, but just kept on battling. Every other batsmen struggled against pace, but he just played the way he used to play. Honestly i was thinking that rahul was bored after all the amount of cricket he has played. But he just amazes me with his patiance and determination. Definitely one of rahul's best knock i have seen after a long time.:hatsoff:

West Indies stay afloat with three wickets in the session' date=' but India have managed 75 runs, and the lead is now 239. [b']Dravid has been rock solid in what has been a tutorial on how to bat on these wickets. Anything beyond 300 will be almost game over, I feel. Even if India were to declare now, West Indies would need to bat out of their skins to get 240. Anyhow, see us back in about 40 minutes, around 12.35pm Jamaica time

a player like Dho who's technique is better suited to play gulli danda will definitely run out of patience and luck, after all he will be mesmerized and confused as to why a stick shaped object is appearing round as it approaches him at a high velocity.

And still a lot of members here say that Dravid, Laxman, Sachin should retire to make way for youngsters... IF THEY DID SO THEN INDIA WILL BE IN THE SAME MISERABLE CONDITION IN WHICH AUSTRALIANS ARE AFTER THE RETIREMENT OF Langer, Hayden, McGrath & Warne. So, please respect these indian legends even if they don't score in a few innings. After all they are the ones who made India the number 1 team.

Determination. Discipline. Concentration. Courage. Technique. He places an incredibly high price on his wicket. Dhoni, take note.
Didn't DHoni do the same in Lords Test.

How the hell are we going to replace Sachin' date=' Dravid and Laxman in tests. I cannot imagine India 5 years from now.[/quote'] Jeah! The likes of pujara and co might come good in the future and could never be same like Dravid, Tendulkar and Laxman.

Posters here amazes me. Dissing your world cup captain in an irrelevant thread..
It is petty and childish to carry IPL grudge into international cricket. That is the problem. Some of us take IPL way too seriously.

Dravid looked the part from his very first Test. Our current crop after being exposed too much to T20 are struggling to translate their potential in Tests.

even rahul played ipl.
That's a no comparison really..Rahul has been playing for India for over a decade scoring tons of runs in test cricket.Obviously he can easily adjust his tempo fer different formats.

Rahul didn't start his career playing Tontee Tontee. He has been playing proper cricket for more than 15 years and has only started playing kirkut in the last 2-3 years so its hardly likely to effect his batting much but the youngsters today are concentrating more on Tontee Tontte than on the longer versions and its bound to effect their game.
