Ultimate_Game Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I know all that' date=' just saying he seems to have put on a lot of weight recently - which is understandable as he hasn't been training.[/quote'] Let him enjoy the world cup win... he will be fit and raring to go come the England series
Sir_Afridi Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Well everyone knows about Tendulkar - even the folks who don't have much idea about cricket :--D Not true. Except cricket playing nations and Indians abroad no body knows about Sachin.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I was wondering if it was just me or if he's put on a lot of weight. He certainly has though it is not a surprise. If you see his pictures for the last 3-4 years at Wimbledon, he always looks like he is carrying extra weight but he gets back to normal once the cricket starts. Probably hasn't held a bat or done training for more than a month.
Ultimate_Game Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Not true. Except cricket playing nations and Indians abroad no body knows about Sachin. Well I have been quizzed by quite a few Americans about Tendulkar. Surprized me a lot when that happened for the first time but he's the only cricketer I have ever fielded queries on from folks who don't know much about cricket. Most of these chaps had no clue what cricket was but somehow had heard about Tendulkar! Maybe you should read a piece called "In Tendulkar country" on ESPN - not the Asian edition but the actual US edition and I got lot more inquiries after that article from my sports loving buddies
Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Looking Bloated because of the suit and yeah might have gained 3-4 lbs..his hair looks funny:regular_smile: On a related note,I have watched Federer play live 4-5 times..and later on seen him from close quarters. He really is a gentleman and a class act like Goddy. Even their better halves (Mirka & Anjali) are so understated and classy.
vvvslaxman Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 i don't think he is fat. You could tell from how the cloths hang out whether someone is fat or not. Tendulkar is not fat. Just the suit. Also he has lot of muscle weight.
Jersey #10 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 The suit makes him look fat otherwise goddy can give anyone a spanky on the given day. Hairstyle Curls please Federer's "RF" vest :hatsoff:

Cricket Tragic Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Hey' date='Is that Henry Blofeld in your avatar pic ?[/quote'] Certainly is.
Jersey #10 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Same 'little' master we know and love. I don't see any excess fat in this pic. the tie is nice
achilles Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Very happy for Sachin. The best cricketer in the world, with the best tennis player in the world. And this is for my Sachin hating friends- :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Cricket Tragic Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Absolute gem from my sensible Pakistani friend's not so sensible friend (and he was serious)... Tendulkar is cheating by visiting England before the tour and gaining an unfair advantage by studying the conditions. Why isn't the ECB complaining? Ganguly went to Chappell before the Aus series, how do you know that Tendulkar isn't getting coaching from Hussain or Atherton? :WTF: PS: Virat Kohli is apparently on the Pakistan hate list. Not sure why.
Sir_Afridi Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Very happy for Sachin. The best Indian cricketer in the world' date= with the 2nd best tennis player in the world. fixed:two_thumbs_up:
Cricket Tragic Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Oh no, this is going to become a Fed vs Nadal thread. I see enough of that on the tennis forum.
Yoda-esque Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Certainly is. Well,Although entertaining,he reminds me of Sharjah matches .Not very pleasant memories as you might understand. He did have a fetish for ear-rings though. If I didn't know better,I 'd have called him a Tharki :cantstop:

Absolute legend. He is so good that you often think of switching off the TV/putting it on mute and listening to the radio.
