NO UDRS... no matter how much we shout to implement it without hawk eye, hotspot and snicko... these stupid icc and bcci wont even dare to bring that up in the meetings

UDRS is stupid..How can you implement technology, if it is and inconclusive and worse still, faulty. Hotspot technology is found wanting, ball tracking is inaccurate. uncle snicko has not been adapted at all.. I'm with BCCI.. Let umpires do, what they been doing best for years.. Moreover, the human element adds to the uncertainty & intrigue, making the game more enjoyable.. Why do you want to see mechanized, robotic stuff? There are bound to be controversies, when a batsman is given out incorrectly, but it's all part of the game.. Isn't it? Technology is good for enhancing viewing pleasure, but it can't be implemented if it is gonna be inconclusive.. DArE speAk MorE? :finger:

UDRS should be there but without the horrendous Eagle eye. It got two decisions wrong in the 2nd test and both could have altered the end result of the game. Just use replays and eliminate obvious edges on LBWs, pitched outside leg and deflection on catches. These three categories would eliminate most of the umpiring errors.

Exactly that is how it should be, if there is a glaring blunder apparent from the TV replays, let the TV umpire overrule it. We will get rid of most of the howlers.

Most of those, who support UDRS, do not want to understand the flip side of technology. Nothing could be more terrible than a batsman given out due to inaccurate ball-tracking aka hawkeye, than a batsman given out due to incompetent umpiring..(Bias is another thing though) for instance, a batsman will be given out, If a bowler appeals for an lbw decision in which a ball pitches inline with middle stump, deviates and goes onto hit the outer half of leg stump In normal situations, an umpire negates the appeal and gives the benefit of doubt to batsman. But the horrible hawkeye consumes the batsman.. So, if there are doubts on the accuracy of technology, why use it? We can forgive the human error, but not the technology.. Just becoz one Erais Marasmus & one Kumara aDharmasena erred we can't deny the umpiring community.. Need of the hour is to rope in more Simon Taufels into the system and not to embrace unreliable, fallacious technology.. Once again, why do you want to see mechanized, robotic stuff? That was all gone for my money. Inconsistencies lead to confusion and that's what DRS brings to the table.

How many of those would have been overturned with DRS (minus hotspot). Also, as we have seen many times in the past, even with DRS how many times, would captains go for a review even if its out? Paravitharana- No conclusive evidence, yes there was a noise, but is that enough? Mahela- Yes would have been overturned Ajmal and Asad, again on what basis would the 3rd umpire overturn that deicison? YK - would have been overturned
