Forbidden fruit only gets more eyeballs but without if the product doesnt fulfill a consumer need' date=' it will eventually fail - just like Google Wave[/quote'] Honestly I was quite impressed with google wave. IMO, it was ahead of its time and quite tangential to the established channels & modes of online correspondence. Also, it did not follow the fundamental rule: "90% of your users are idiots". I agree. The capabilities of Google Wave were amazing, but I never had someone on the other end willing to try it out.

:laugh: One thing Google has learnt is not to introduce their new product with all the brouhaha and tamasha...the last they did that with wave, it reeked of self-congratulatory bs. The creators, who also created the widely popular google maps, came on stage amidst forced applause and acted like superstars.
