Sid Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 What a spell he bowled today, deserved a 5fer.Keep improving Ishant :nice:
Karan114 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 What a gem India have found...100 Test wickets at just 22 years of age!
Cricket Tragic Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Good stuff. Now get that average down to under 30 and more importantly please perform in England and Australia.
Sid Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 and yes please keep him away from ODI's and tontee-tontee's.
Show_stopper Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Yeah that average needs to come down! And it will if he keeps this up. the thing is he averages 28 in India!! Its abroad that he struggles...so the hard part has already been done. and its a blessing in disguise that we aren't touring pakistan anymore...would have been horrible for a young bowler's stats.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 and yes please keep him away from ODI's and tontee-tontee's. I forgot to mention this in my post. He should only play tests only along with Sreesanth.
Show_stopper Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I forgot to mention this in my post. He should only play tests only along with Sreesanth. bit unrealistic. He will be our trump card in the 2015 WC. And also realistically I don't think he wants to restrict himself to just Tests.
Captain of Bhangra Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Well done Ishant, on an otherwise frustrating couple of days...
Sachin=GOD Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Keeping him away from ODIs is not feasible but it would be very good for his career if he is kept away from Tontee Tontee.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Keeping him away from ODIs is not feasible but it would be very good for his career if he is kept away from Tontee Tontee. So him saying no to millions for a "paid holiday" (as Steyn called it) is feasible? :hmmm:
Andy Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Was a huge fan of him Before Before IPL 2. Hope he improves, rather deteriorating to the standard of Poster Boy Pathan.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 bit unrealistic. He will be our trump card in the 2015 WC. And also realistically I don't think he wants to restrict himself to just Tests. It's not his fault if he gets picked for ODIs. The selectors should look at him purely as a test bowler. It doesn't matter what the wicket is like. He won't ever be a consistently good ODI bowler.
