click on the second link :winky:...first link was to prove his batting abilities :icflove:
In matches India won he's done really well. Kudos! In a way he's matched Zaheer in contributions to India's wins. But he really needs to toss that ball up!

Forget it bro...these guys want Rahul Sharma and Ashwin because of IPL matches...their short memory leads them to forget the bare stats...best on economy, best with the bat of bowlers and most wickets.

Also dont forget his contributions in world cup.He was easily on of the best bowlers in the tournament even though stats didnt show it.Yuvraj have a lot to thank Harbajan for his wickets. Champion bowler:hatsoff:

Statistics are like mini skirts. They give you good ideas, but hide the most important parts
Past results do not mean future sucess. Use your eyes, look at the pies that he is bowling currently which even crappy batsmen are gobbling up. His peak was a long time ago, and his journey up to this peak did have some good times I admit but nowadays he is looking a broken bowler. Do you really want to stay on the journey down to where he crashes and burns.. *kthxbai*

Dude, wth? Don't you know you need to be "Highest IPL wicket-taking Indian" to be Indian's most valuable player? Invaluable service to the country with bat and ball < Highest wicket-taker in IPL over 4 seasons.

I think this argument is just like the argument which was used to belittle Sachin in the past. a batsmen's job is to make runs. a bowlers job is to take wickets. Winning and losing depends on a myraid of factors including pitches, contribution of other players, etc. For example, even if Mishra takes 5 wickets and others dont take any wicket, the team might still not win. How is that a bad thing for mishra? Ponting has much higher runs in matches won that Sachin so Ponting is better by a mile Similarly in trms of wickets in mathces won, Afridi would be the best bowler in the world. His team hardly wins, but when they do, he takes a bunch of wickets If we accept OP's argument, we must also accept that Ponting>>Sachin and Afridi is one of the best bowelrs in the world Winning and losing = team Average, Strike rate, consitancy of taking wickets = players As for people bringing up IPL, I ddint even watch any games apart from few mumbai games P.S. - Also check the fact that Bhajji has played the most matches and other spinners havent played even half the number of matches he did

I think the point is not whether he's bowling really well these days, but he still managing to outperform all others barring Zaheer in all matches. So he needs to improve? Definitely yes. But should he be replaced? Despite being the next best bowler after Zak?

Currently even crap batsmen are gobbling up? Look at his economy = i dont recall any significant matches where he had an awful economy and players slogged him widely. If anything batsmen are showing a ton of respect to Bhajji and just trying to play him out rather than attempt something foolish and get bowled.

Then he should try flighting and drifting the ball and adjusting to these new tactics of the batsmen and not just throwing darts to make his economy look good, but he doesn't have the balls to in fear of giving away a few boundaries and getting smacked. Look at the ball that Swann got Sanga out with today, it was a thing of beauty, Dartbhajan can't even dream of doing that. Also I would rather he aim for figures of 30 - 3 - 125 - 4 than 30 - 12 - 85 - 1
