is t20 cricket killing the art of spin bowling??

in the wake of incessant criticism regarding harbhajan singh and dearth of good spinners in india,do u feel excess t20 cricket has led to this??.look at amit mishra,who got a bagful of wickets during the one day series vs west indies but didn't bowl well in the test match that he played afterwards.the art of flighting the ball,getting it to drift,getting turn seems to have been forgoten.spinners nowadays only concentrate on bowling straight and fast without variations and rely on the batsmen making mistake.maybe this tactic may get them wickets in the shortest form of the game but their skills are exposed once they play test cricket. i think its exposure to t20 cricket thats ailing the art of spin.what are your thoughts???

So Harbhajan must play only test cricket and even then if he does not pick up wickets we can convieniently say it is due to lack of match practice(Odis and t20) .

some bowlers who come to mind for flighting the ball are pragyan ojha,and i know some of you will snigger after reading this name-ramesh powar. infact if you remember powar and chawla didn't do too badly in the 2007 england series and if i remember correctly ,it was david lloyd who was impressed with powars ability to flight the ball and get the ball to drift, describing it as classic off spin bowling.even piyush chawla when he first came into limelight was known for his varialtions and guile.wickets of ponting and sachin bear testimony to his talent.just that he lost his way in all the t20 competitions that were on and concentrated on bowling flatter in a bid to save runs. not vouching for powar or chawla here,just bringing the attention back on the topic of the thread as some of you have clearly started using this as a platform to start the- harbhajan bashing all over again

I think some posters are taking criticism against Bhajji overboard. There is no denying that Bhajji is going through a lean patch and needs to be given some time off to recuperate, but to question his past achievements is preposterous, given the fact that he has bowled quite well on many occasions and won matches for the team, just not so much in recent times.

IMO Harbhajan 1st have to accept that he has problem with his bowling...& then 2nd take some time off Intl Cricket. Maybe watch some of his old videos..& work on his bowling in nets. Maybe talk to some former spinners for advise also. He should be able to call atleast Kumble anytime for some advise
