The most disappointing thing abt that match was dhoni. he set a chaseable target for wi in the 2nd test match and everyone applauded it. But last night everyone was stumped when dhoni decided not to go for the win when they set a chasebale score. He is human being and he is bound to make mistakes, so i am with dhoni.

Well, I added my views about whatever happened, but at the end of the day it was the team who had to make the decision. They were playing on the ground and could assess the situation better than us. Those are the players who do things beyond our imagination and when it successful we just feel amazed. In that case also they were in better situation to judge and execute. On the other hand when they fail, we feel bad about it. Nothing unusual. We carry these things as part of the game and our wonderful experience as fans with this team.

To increase excitement in test cricket and for the sake of WI fans and gaize watching on TV in Amreeka and India, our team should have tried chasing at 6 RPO in a test match on a 5th day pitch even if it meant we lose the series instead of sealing a 1-0 win, all because the thrillz and funz it would have brought and may be even a 2-0 series win instead of a boring 1-0. :hahaha:

People who are saying Australia would have won it, didn't Australia even get beaten by the **** Pakis? That's how crap they are, no way in hell could they have won this test

You don't cross Ocean without getting feet wet.

Yes..A Man who is captain of team that won T20 WC,IPL,WC 2011 taking chance against a very mediocre attack, should not have second thoughts to chase 86 runs off 90 balls with 7 wkts in Hand. Again the result was not important but intent which raises the question how much confidence MSD has on himself and his team.

Dhoni is overrated, He had no hand in us winning t20 world cup or 2011 world cup, he is just lucky to have a team that consists of Viru, Sachin, Yuvi, Gauti, Zak and Bhajji

As I said in one of the threads: whats dying is the ability to understand test cricket .... It appears as if for many getting 80 of 15 overs is the same in every format
+1 we where never going to get that score . strangely most people here said we will loose the series cos of the Team we picked & I see the same guys not happy with a 1-0 win

I don't think we necessarily cowered, but I found Dhoni's decision strange. But for a minute think of it from a West Indian view point. They were trailing the series 1-0. They had everything to play for. If they got us all out, they would level the series and get lot of points and do wonders for their ranking. If they lost trying, it wouldn't make much of a difference anyways. Why didn't West Indies declare soon and try to get us all out. Surely, the onus was on them.
declare for 100 ? thats not bold , rather stupid ....WI will be happy with a 1-0 result , considering we outplayed them all thru the series .

Do you think the man who is captain of a team that won T20, EC, IPL, WC, ... knows whether it was prudent to go after this target or not?

We would have won even without him, Yuvi was in great form and so was Raina, Bhajji bats as well as dhoni these days. Please tell us all of his other great innings in the world cup... :finger:
