Fontaine Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I'd rather have a half fit Sehwag in the first test than a fully fit Mukund.
King Tendulkar Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I'd rather have a half fit Sehwag in the first test than a fully fit Mukund. yep
urbestfriend Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I'd rather have a half fit Sehwag in the first test than a fully fit Mukund. What if he aggravates his injury ?
Fontaine Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 What if he aggravates his injury ? He's already had surgery to fix the problem. The issue now isn't the original shoulder injury but post op recovery ie muscle strength in the shoulder, healing of scar tissue etc.
Indian Pride Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I agree with an earlier poster, he needs to play the warm up game first before being considered for the first test. He needs to play himself into some form else he could be a sitting duck (literally!)
cowboysfan Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I am really confused by this ,the BCCI is so dysfunctional.
saneindian Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Sehwag has not traveled with the team to London. England tour: Five cricketers leave for London Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth, who had all skipped the Caribbean tour due to injuries and health concerns, and Wriddhiman Saha, who was not picked, have been named in the 17-member Test squad for England. The five cricketers boarded a British Airways flight from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here. The other members of the team, barring batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who is already in England, and Virender Sehwag, who is recuperating from a shoulder surgery, will directly travel to the country from the West Indies, where they defeated the home side in an ODI series and a Test rubber during the same tour for the first time.
DeepFineLeg Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I think Sehwag might play in the first test although it would most likely be a last minute decision as he is skipping the somerset practice match.
phaedrus Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 no it means he will make a surprise entry a la WWE
deepak_sach Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 We can beat england hands down even without sehwag...
urbestfriend Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Viru is playing galli cricket in najafgarh :woot:
SachDan Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I'd rather have a half fit Sehwag in the first test than a fully fit Mukund. How about half fit Sehwag sitting on the sidelines for rest of the series and a fully fit Mukund or Saha opening with Gauti :(
Number Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 might be surprise last minute inclusion , can be a part of mind games ...
