gaurav92 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Cook v/s Mukund = Cook Strauss v/s Gambhir = Strauss Cook v/s Sehwag = Even (Once Sehwag comes in) Dravid v/s Trott = Dravid Sachin v/s KP = Sachin Laxman v/s Bell = Laxman Raina v/s Morgan = Even Dhoni v/s Prior = Even Bhajji v/s Swann = Even. Anderson v/s Zaheer = Even Tremlett v/s Ishant = Even Broad v/s Praveen = Praveen Its 4-2 India :nice:
BeautifulGame Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Are people seriously saying Anderson is as good as Zaheer even in English conditions? I dont know what exactly this is based Can anyone show me a single single series against India SA or Australia where Anderson averaged less than 30 in English conditions?

And Gambhir is better than Strauss on current form.

In the worst case scenario they may be even but Strauss is no way > Gambhir. Also, Dhoni > Prior, and Broad Vs Sreesanth/PK is even as well since all of them are inconsistent.
Serani Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 If you think Dhoni is better than Prior in tests you are seriously deluded.
Ultimate_Game Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 If you think Dhoni is better than Prior in tests you are seriously deluded. Not quite. Check Dhoni's stats/records and the guy generally shows up when needed. Still remember his knock on the last Eng tour where he saved the first Test for India. Plus his keeping and captaincy aren't bad either.
Serani Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Yes Dhoni never fails to show up after the big guns have racked up a huge score, he just loves boosting that average after the real batsman have done all the hard work. Dhoni has never scored a test ton outside asia, and all his test tons have come on absolute roads. All hail the king FTB. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/430883.html This is my favorite Dhoni ton, coming in with 591 on the board, such pressure on him on a minefield yet he prevails.
ahilya Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 No predictions right now coz no idea how many tests will get washed due to rains.
Serani Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Weather for Lords will be enough time to get a result, 50% chance of rain first day the rest of the days only 10-30% chance. Will be plenty of time for a result. As with Edgbaston its always sunny in Birmingham.

Serani Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 From a weather perspective it really is a good idea that there are no tests in t'north this year.

cameron_black Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 2-1 to england. lord's will be a dull draw. even sri lankan ftbs found it easy on that track.
gaurav92 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 why do people do this? The most pointless thing ever. Oh and Prior > Dhoni and Swann > Harby. And Gambhir is better than Strauss on current form. WTF ? This is my prediction as to which way the series will pan out. I think Strauss will perform better than Gambhir, Bhajji and Swanny will be even (both will get wickets in a trickle) and Prior and Dhoni wont get much opportunities to bat, and even if they do, they wont do all that well. How exactly is Strauss > Gambhir? In the worst case scenario they may be even but Strauss is no way > Gambhir. Also' date=' Dhoni > Prior, and Broad Vs Sreesanth/PK is even as well since all of them are inconsistent.[/quote'] Well, Gambhir doesn't have the best off tump awareness, anyways its just my predictions on how the series will pan out. IMO Straussy will do better than Gambhir. No, we are not talking about techniques. In terms of technique even a Stuart Broad would have a better technique, but the ability to score runs and change the context of the game rests with Dhoni, and thats why I feel that they are even.
TheWall Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 From a weather perspective it really is a good idea that there are no tests in t'north this year. so, shall we blame BCCI....:haha:
Jayaram_IND Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 My prediction is ind 1 eng 0.I feel its very difficult to get bowl out both sides because of the presence of players like dravid gambhir laxman in ind and trott and cook in eng.just my prediction.
Yoda-esque Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 If you think Dhoni is better than Prior in tests you are seriously deluded. Nopes.Dhoni brings in much much more by way of intangibles. Can't quantify that
