You could create hype for almost any situation involving Sachin. For instance, if he gets a Century in the ODI at lords, it would be the first ODI hundred by an Indian there. It would be his 100th century (if he doesn't get any before then), it would be his 50th ODI century etc... I think it's unfair to expect a century, every other batsman goes in, does their job, and if a century comes about, it's all good...

That's all right, he doesn't have to score 100 just for the venue. I'm sure he would have liked to but he didn't look like he was going to score big runs in both innings. It's been a while since he played test cricket and no matter his stature there is no alternative for match practice. I'm hoping he will come good in the last couple of test matches with couple more innings under the belt.

Too sad the honour board could not have his name.The Lords board lost all honour after worst players like TM Dilshan and T Iqbal got into that list.Also since Amir was banned,they took off his name from the wisden,can they scratch it off in the honor board.:hysterical:
