DeepFineLeg Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 According to statistics' date=' Dravid has taken the highest number catches at slip in the history of the game. Seems like you need a lesson on statistics.[/quote'] One series lost as captain don't make a trend...one dropped catch doesn't make a trend...a few important catches across multiple series, might suggest something though....All those records mean nothing if you start dropping catches at regular intervals.
achilles Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Brilliant Dravid again...... It was Dhoni's catch to take. He dived giving Dravid an illusion he's gonna take it, but then he couldn't catch it so Rahul moved in late. One of those moments when you either get it or you don't.

J P K Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Another drop commentator saying dhoni blinded him but dravid made no effort to catch it no reflexs at all
achilles Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Another drop commentator saying dhoni blinded him but dravid made no effort to catch it no reflexs at all He was actually blinded. It is extremely charitable to believe both made mistakes. Lets not get too judgemental. Dravid is too good to ruin our game.

coffee_rules Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 In B4 Bhajji quotes this drop as the reason why he is not among wickets.
yoda Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Yes I agree that Dravid should move out of the slips and leave it to someone like Raina.
Dravid Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 2nd one was dhonis fault and u cant expect dravid to be feilding at point, cover etc... raina does a good job for us over there
Guest Gunner Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 2nd one was dhonis fault and u cant expect dravid to be feilding at point, cover etc... raina does a good job for us over there He can field at fine leg or third man. That's all his fit for presently.
Dravid Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 He can field at fine leg or third man. That's all his fit for presently. isnt laxman/tendulkar/bhajji/zak holding on to those spots? too many ppl to hide man
Ultimate_Game Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Dravid generally drops quite a few in the slips and over the last 2-3 years he hasn't been reliable at all. I would prefer Raina to be in the slip cordon ahead of Dravid.
Sid Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I can only say,Dravid is not our best slip fielder now.
singhprakash72 Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I can only say' date='Dravid is not our best slip fielder now.[/quote'] I agree and on top of it he is 38, so he is not going to get better. Groom now or as usual wait till he retires and the face bigger mess. Overall someone needs to replace Dravid,VVS in the slip cordon and they need to quickly do that...otherwise crucial catches will be dropped. We could not make it up for drop catches with a 3rd grade team like WI in the last test ..don't expect to win or worse draw in England.
