Jayaram_IND Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Atlest we can maybe bring on someone like wridhiman saha on to the field as a slip catcher.being a keeper he would have practiced a lot of slip catches in the nets.just a thought.

Jayaram_IND Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011  I mean wridhiman saha hasnt come here for a picnic right?the poor chap might as well show us some of his fielding skills?
Crookbond Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I mean wridhiman saha hasnt come here for a picnic right?the poor chap might as well show us some of his fielding skills? Wriddhiman Saha is a keeper. Yuvraj was fielding in place of Zaheer. I think that was fine. I'm not sure your logic for Saha doing well in the slips will work. Ask Alec Stewart or Adam Gilchrist.

Atlest its worth a try.I may be wrong but lets give it a go.We know that he is a decent outfielder as we saw in ipl so atlest he can take the place of kholi or raina so that they can come to the slip cordon.your take?

I think Yuvraj for Zaheer is fine. In the slip cordon we have Dravid, Laxman and Raina. The gully is manned by Mukund currently I guess. IMO, this is pretty good.

achilles Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Dhoni "dropped" Broad today. So do we call for his head? No. We look at his record and let this go.
phaedrus Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Please Drop Dravid from the team.Scoring 100 against a pathetic WI bowling attack is no good. Apart from that Hundred. He did not get a substantial score. If RD fails in this series,he himself must retire. nice one. keep 'em coming :two_thumbs_up:

King Tendulkar Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Really poor drop today. Great slip catcher he was. But serious doubts on his ability to field there now. But then were else can you put him the field?

Kookabura Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Its time.RD has to give way to someone else in first slip.
urbestfriend Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 He is letting down bowlers...Should field at third or fourth slip..
Crookbond Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 and the man who has taken 400 International catches now takes a difficult one ... !
Dravid Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 i say dhoni is putting even more pressure him, running away towards the leg side, and not going for some of these, leaving em for 1st slip.. anyways dravid comes back well
jonas10 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Kohli will one day be better at first slip than Dravid.
