pinkfreud Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Firstly 1974' date=' [b']please it is ancient history and then we were still the main arbiters of the game we ourselves had invented. :cantstop: That's your justification? Today's present is tomorrow's history as well, so why are you here whinging? You were arbiters of the game, so apparently, anything goes- or did? Typical imperialist bullsh**. Next: The bulk of sponsorship should not allow one nation or side to influence the game as a whole unfairly in favour of that side which is what the BCCI are trying to do. If such an organisation trys to bully the rest of the playing sides, we should refuse to play them and then see how they like playing with themselves literally:haha: Viewership, airtime/telecast, advertising deals, and so forth have been extremely lucrative in India in much the same way it is in England for football. It's the craze for the game here that dictates the revenue patterns in India. Why blame the BCCI for it? Only a nitwit would pass on opportunities to make money. And seriously, can you please stop bringing up the same point over and over again- i.e. about the BCCI influencing the game unfairly? You've hammered a nail in your own foot the moment you (obviously) overlooked the happenings of 1974 because it's 'history'. If you can give a fitting explanation for the ECB's actions back then, I'm all ears. Otherwise, pi** off already and work on being a better troll. And as for 'playing with ourselves'- we do that already on an annual basis, Einstein. The other countries would have a lot more to lose by not playing with India than the other way round. blah blah blah blah mkay.
gloryof83 Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Next: in the 70's we were still the arbiters of the game, but of course we gave up that right to the ICC. You however want to steal that position by the weight of cash/sponsorship. It wont happen as SA, NZ, AUS and the English wont let it happen and if you start getting to big for your boots we will tell you to just play amongst yourselves. That would be a real shame as I think India are a great great cricket nation, but should not be allowed to dictate to the rest in what is now a modern era ICC was never a democracy, until around 1995/6 when an Indian become the ICC cheif. For cying out loud only you guys and the aussies had a veto prior to that... how democratic is that..

wanted_desi Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Oh we were always like this, we got #1 status even after losing first test match. I wouldn't buy too much into it. Even in SA, after 1st test match, we were better team than our counterparts. This is 4 test match series, given that rain doesn't play spoils part here. We have enough time to come back at them.
wobblydoggy Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 :cantstop: That's your justification? Today's present is tomorrow's history as well, so why are you here whinging? You would be a sad loss to our schedule yes, but if you continue to try to dictate just because you have the $$ power to do so, like minded teams will tell you to play yourselves and i dont mean like our county game. I for one would say play fair or not at all. I think for instance that the Pakistani team should have had a total ban for cheating, for at least three years. It would be a shame not to play you, but we are not going to let you bully us.
pinkfreud Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 It would be a shame not to play you' date=' but [b']we are not going to let you bully us. Then don't? http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-07-27/top-stories/29820152_1_cricket-ali-bacher-icc-meetings Nuff said. And what do you have to say about England and Oz being the only nations that had veto power till the mid 90s? Thought so. Sayonara, because you're beginning to repeat the same crap over and over again.
wobblydoggy Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Then don't? http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-07-27/top-stories/29820152_1_cricket-ali-bacher-icc-meetings Nuff said. And what do you have to say about England and Oz being the only nations that had veto power till the mid 90s? Thought so. Sayonara. As we had pioneered cricket around the world we had a right to ensure the future of it. And as for many many years Austrailia vrs England was the only nation games being played we have the history to prove it. It is still a great series now. Retard you say:hysterical:
pinkfreud Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 As we had pioneered cricket around the world we had a right to ensure the future of it. Oh, so now it's OK for 2 nations to hold veto power over a multi-nation sport well into the '90s, even AFTER England 'did away' with arbitrary power, but SHUDDER! If BCCI comes into the picture! :cantstop: F**k, you really are one dumbass troll. Your foot goes deeper in your throat with each post you make. Well then, as per your logic- as we are ensuring the success and survival of cricket, we have a right to ensure its future, no?
wobblydoggy Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 How typical to divert from the real point and fail to admit your own double standards. Adios, puto. You obviously have nothing to contribute to the discussion. You have only had Test status since 1932. You were weak until the 70's You have only recently gained no 1 status and will not hold it for long. If your ridiculous logic was followed the WI sides of the 70's and 80's would have been allowed to rig the schedules and dominate all discussion just because they were the very best at that time. Thank fully they did their talking with the bat and the ball under equal conditions. They like the great Aussi sides of the late 80's 90's etc did not try to abuse their position like india are now trying to. after such a brief spell as number 1 too:finger: Here is a recent comment The International Cricket Council determines India's upcoming matches through its future tours program. However, the BCCI, with its influential financial position in the cricketing world, has often challenged the ICC's program and called for more tours between India, Australia, Pakistan and England which are more likely to earn more revenue as opposed to tours with Bangladesh or Zimbabwe.[30] In the past, the BCCI has also come into conflict with the ICC regarding sponsorships[31] and the legitimacy of the ICC Champions Trophy.
pinkfreud Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 You have only had Test status since 1932. So? You were weak until the 70's So? You have only recently gained no 1 status and will not hold it for long. Oh rly now? You know that how? After winning 1 Test? :cantstop: If your ridiculous logic was followed the WI sides of the 70's and 80's would have been allowed to rig the schedules and dominate all discussion just because they were the very best at that time. :hysterical: WTF? When did I EVER say or indicate that performance and current standings have ANYTHING to do with the assertion of influence of a particular cricketing body in world cricket. Dumbf**k. Stop wasting my time unless you have anything to say about England's misuse of its own influence from the 70s through till the 90s- and THEN we will talk. Well, do you? after such a brief spell as number 1 too :finger: Ever heard of the saying don't count the chickens before they hatch? What a juvenile thing to say, but much expected from an English fan.

It is lucky that in those years that WI did not say that they wanted to play more games against better sides because some were weaker or you would and we would hardly of got a game for a while. No, the BCCI are a cancer in world cricket at the moment who will stiffle emerging sides just because they want to watch more of the better sides playing and their greed for more money. I make my judgement re your No 1 status on the fact that you have an aging team You sir are as ridiculous and pathetic as the BCCI in defending them
pinkfreud Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 You sir are as ridiculous and pathetic as the BCCI in defending them :(( The opinion of a hypocritical, closet BNP troll trying to masquerade as a 'fair' and 'unbiased' cricket fan without having the gall to even try and debate the carcinogenic nature of the ECB of yore, of course, matters a lot to me. :((

I make my judgement re your No 1 status on the fact that you have an aging team You sir are as ridiculous and pathetic as the BCCI in defending them Please clarify what BCCI is doing to harm world cricket. And please dont repeat the very inconsequential not fully accepting all of UDRS yet(which was approved by ICC vote not India dictating)? Seriously one other thing? The real cancer in cricket is England stealing other countries players. Nothing bigger then this in destroying world cricket. I mean grabbing SAs like Pieterson and Trott. And other foreigners like Prior, Strauss, Morgan and Kieswater. This is corruption by ECB as throwing big money contracts around to grab other countries players, disgusting! Ruining world cricket by buying players in.

Half your team is foreign, which effectivley reduces any legitimacy your results have. You have become like the Republic of Irelands team in Football, with the ECB digging up ancient ancestory to poach other teams players. Would you not agree its a disgrace to have Pieterson and Trott in your team who are SA? Also all FTP are decided with input from playing nations, you are idiotic to think otherwise. In fact to be fair then you should play all team equally, thats right no ashes avery 2 years now, just play aussies home and away the same amount as you play Bangla. When you play bangla the same amount as you do aussies then talk, until then being HYPOCRITES!
julianlev Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Hey' date=' half your country originates from England or Holland unless you are a true native[/quote'] "half my country"?! firstly, whites make up less than 15% of SAs total population secondly, as a person who was born and has lived his whole life here, I consider myself a "native" regardless of my skin colour
nitinbwj Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Wow ! Lot of emotions in this thread..but all said and done and when the dust settles..India would still beat your crappy A** team.Cant wait for the 2nd test.. and to Nasser Hussain..:finger:
Chandan Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Guys, you need to stop fighting here. Don't you notice that I've been deleting your posts here? If you still persist, all three or four of you will start getting collective infractions and then bans!
saneindian Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Wonder why no one out of Botham, Boycitt, Hussain or Donald have yet talked about England not having won a series in WI, India, SL, Pakistan/UAE before they start proclaiming themselves as number 1? Even the ICC ranking system, which was unfair till a few months ago has suddenly become fair and just now that England have got a sniff at number 1 (but will remain to be no 3 in the world).
CSK Fan Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Gys please dont drive the couple of english posters we have, away. Its getting boring on ICF with no opposing views and banter
