Dravid Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I though do occasionally play the Tape Ball cricket with some paki in parking lots and places like that. padosis seem to play it a lot, some play till 3-4 am at their mosque, then come to play hard ball the next day amazing creatures they are... no wonder they bowl phastt bhounsers and stuffz

Contrary to what Dravid sez, they actually swing and even spin. If anyone has played with the MRI ball tournaments in Mumbai and Pune you'll know what I am talking about. Agree there is absolutely no point in defensive batting in MRI cricket but batting is not as easy as it seems. Back in the early-mid 90's I played in some of dem tournaments representing the "unofficial" Telco team in MRI tournaments and official Telco team in regular cricket ball tournaments. Those tournaments would be usually night affairs (coz ppl would have to come back from their factories or wherever else they worked)...12 overs a side. Back in those days prize many used to go upto 1-2 lacs for winners. Damn you find the fastest bowlers there. So much effing talent it's unbelievable. Let me assure you, if you get hit by an MRI ball you will be hurt. Anyone here from Mumbai, Kalyna, Pune, Pimpri-Chnichwad areas?

Cricketics Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 More than tape ball cricket, the best most enjoyable game which i have played other than hard ball is the one with the VIcky ball. Vicky ball is usually sold in north India, in Delhi-Haryana regiont he most. It's as hard as flash ball and is fun to play with.

If you wanna learn to face fast bowling and handle good bounce from non-short pitch bowling then play MRI ball kirket...and I mean actual tournaments in full size fields not just gully kirket
