Dhoni, the MOST GUTLESS CAPTAIN in the history of Indian cricket.

Go to hell, MS Dhoni. Today was truly the last straw as far as i am concerned, and i have gone from having a healthy respect for him to simply hating this guy's guts. Pathetic captaincy throughout this test with field placings that allowed for morale-killing easy runs, horrendously poor batting could be forgiven but this most cowardly decision to recall Bell has just left me fuming. Dhoni, you are an absolute ****ing FOOL and a naive IMBECILE. No other country will EVER reciprocate your Gandhian gesture. WHERE was this spirit of cricket when Harbhajan knocked the cover off the ball on that LBW? Did the Englishmen - AND I GUARANTEE they must have heard that edge recall him? No. He was given out, so he walked. End of story. Bell was wrong to walk off before the umpire called tea and he was out. Simple as that. We're playing an opposition that has no qualms in alleging that our batsmen greased their edges with vaseline, that we reject DRS to protect our batsmen and a thousand other things under the sun. Get a ****ing clue, Dhoni. Ironically, no other top captain would have EVER recalled Bell. Not a chance. Goes back to the days of Brown-sahibs like GR Vishwanath who won the plaudits for recalling a batsman but surrendered the match meekly, as if it is some sort of consolation. I just can't believe i was a witness to this. To be honest, Dhoni seems like he more concerned with ambiguous inanities like the 'spirit of the game', and his own image instead of possessing the ruthless mentality that is required to win at this level. Reminds me of what happened in South Africa; when Sreesanth was all over Kallis and having words with the batsmen, Dhoni stepped in, told him off and banished him to the boundary. SA eventually got themselves out of trouble and secured a draw. GUTLESS captaincy. This guy is no leader of men, he is JUST PLAIN LUCKY to have a good team on his hands. Nothing else. Just wait and watch - once his trio of seniors hit the exit, this guy is going to be found out for what he truly is. Test cricket isn't some bullshit competition like the IPL, Dhoni saab. I hate to admit it, but I hope India lose the series 4-0 and this guy gets the sack. Our players deserve better. I am sure there must have been some debate in the dressing room over this, and our team looks more and more deflated with each passing over. A dismissal that could have been the catalyst for a comeback has been tossed away in the name of this BS idea of 'sportsmanship'. It just makes me sick. Now we have an absolute loser of a test batsman like Morgan playing himself into form by scoring boundaries through an empty field. ASK YOURSELF A QUESTION - if you were an Indian cricketer, would you ever play under such a captain? A guy who has no interest in supporting his players on the field, who plays a gutless waiting game and is overly concerned with SPORTSMANSHIP and brown-nosing than actually trying to WIN the ****ing game. I have no complaints about our bowlers, they are actually trying but their pathetic captain isn't. GO **** YOURSELF, DHONI.

Dhoni the soft captain....Here we are number 1 test team, ODI champions, opportunity was presented, small opening was given to us and he refuse to take it. Yes you won the Spirit of the Cricket award, but you will lose the series. This reminds me of Sydney ofcourse that was different but you will see when we bat, how English behave.

Good job on losing your first test series Captain and losing your country the No.1 ranking, Dhoni. I guess winning by playing with the rules was too much for you, would rather have respect of the butthurt mad English****s.

Surely an OBE is in order for this dumb **** of a captain??? or is that an MBE?? Whatever. Either way, well done, Sir Mahendra Singh Yadav. Please do us a favour and lose the series 4-0, go collect the spirit of cricket award from your fellow English slave Michael Holding and then go prepare for the next IPL season.

Totally agree with points made in the OP..Dhoni's soft. Once he made his decision, he should have stuck to it regardless. But then again Dhoni knows better than most how to improve his PR :P

You guys are pathetic..Just one recall by Dhoni and you guys are jumping on him? I would've agreed your criticism of him if he had been regularly recalling the opposition batsmen? Remember Dhoni won us the WC..He took us to the number one spot in Test cricket. You should thank him for everything good you have currently in your life..

I dont agree with Dhoni's decision. India has been shafted way too many times before to be nice to its opponents. At Sydney, Aussies claimed bump ball catches to ensure their victory (I'd think Kumble was even more naive!). Even England did not overturn the forfeiture resulting from Inzi's walk off the field in that famous Daryl Hair-Inzi test. That said, Dhoni said "no" to the overturn on the field. He changed his mind during the break. What could the reason ? Was he worried about a possible big contraversy ? Was he worried about his own image ? Or was he advised by senior players to do so ? We dont know. We need to wait till we hear from Dhoni. That said, the OP is an overreaction from a frustrated fan. Just a couple of months ago we won the world cup under Dhoni. I dont know about you guys, but those three games (QF, SF & finals) wiped years of frustration i had with Indian cricket. Yeah, i'd have liked india to be bossing this series, but deep in our heart we know that this English team is better than ours. Just accept that! We lost the game yesterday when we crumbled from 267-4 to 288 ao. Even had Bell been out today (with the lead at 187) with Prior, Broad, Morgan & Swann left, England are still bossing this game.

Please list his contributions in the WC except for the final. If it had really depended on him we wouldn't have made it to the quarter finals. No.1 rankings is mainly b/c of Sachin, Sehwag, Lax, wall and zak. The captain looks as good as his team is. Now that he has a injured and a hollow line up with him, his lame decisions are popping out.
