asterix Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 India will win at edgbaston. no way is **** like this happening again, and there is no way this team is gonna go a series without winning a single test. gambhir should be back, and maybe sehwag and zaheer too. at least one of them will be back, and that should be enough. at the very least, our batting lineup won't have guys playing out of position. should be enough, in spite of dhoni. but with the oval being a flat track, i doubt they will draw the series. Ok..

Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 haha, so much pessimism. relax. teams don't become **** overnight. BTW, you all would be well served to remember that england need to win by a 2 test margin to become number 1. anything less and india are still tops. they are gonna win the series, but i highly doubt they will do it with a 2 ttest margin.
Cricketics Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 It's not easy to defend a test series after you have won first test or two tests in a 4 match series. England have it in them to win offcourse, they are one of the top test sides. But at same time, India won't sit and watch. We are going to make some changes in the team and would come really hard at England. I think it's ideal how we have a 3 day game in between like we had during the 04 tour game. It will give our team a decent time to enjoy and lift themself and regroup and have same 11 players together which really are the reason why we are no. 1 in rank rite now. Yes, Sehwag might not score much in his comeback, but he surely would make some difference when he comes back along with Gambhir. Icing on cake would be to see a fully fit Indian team which would look like this SEHWAG GAMBHIR DRAVID TENDULKAR LAXMAN RAINA DHONI ISHANT ZAHEER PRAVEEN MISHRA Sadly one of my Fav Yuvraj would have to give away his place. But we will se when that time come.
Pagalpanti Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Nah, Yuvraj looks in much better touch than Raina. Yuvraj was troubled but I guess its the case where you have to pick the one who is less worse?
panesarv Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Actually I cant see us winning any match in this series' date='[b']just dont see us getting their 20 wickets. +1 Their tail is the difference in this test series.
pinkfreud Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 The series can still be won. ?? How? They're already 2-0 up. We can't win the series even if we win the next 2 Tests, which in itself is wishful thinking. And Tics, Mishra in the side would only be sheer Harakiri.
Rahul Dravid Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 This game ain't over till Dravid' date=' Tendulkar and Laxman have had their say. The series can still be won.[/quote'] +1
