anotherhawkeye Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Best thing going for India in these two tests is, they will be over in at most 10 days. After that, we wouldn't have pressure of #1 ranking so can play our natural game. Dhoni would have lost the first test series, so he wouldn't have any pressure either.
asterix Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Dhoni might get banned for the slow over rate' date=' afterall[/quote'] That's a +ve..
darkknight Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 So are you expecting a 2-2 comeback. Did you smoke cannabis or what.

Sooda Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Grim yes. But lets put things into perspective- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ongoing_military_conflicts
ravsdh Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 im not sure there is any point playing veeru when the series is lost
ravsdh Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Remember that test? Pathan got a hat trick but Pak came back and scored 230 odd. India replied with 250 odd, but then, Pak piled up over 400 in the 2nd innings. Then India crumbled in the 2nd innings.... If Indian bowlers do not step up tomorrow and restrict England to a gettable total, then it might be all over. kudos mate on this prediction!
kabira Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 The effort with the 2nd new ball ws most pathetic, Sree and Ishant bowling rubbish. We had taken 3 quick wickets, ball was swinging and yet we allowed the tail to wag again. Disappointing to see the crown slipping. Hopefully we can somehow win the next test as this one looks to be in England's bag bar a miracle. absolutely agreed they wwere 274 for 6 when Bresnan came in, Prior was still new at the crease. Good bowling there by Ishant and Sree would have made big difference, instead they gave away too many boundaries. May be they were tired.

On a general note, Ishant and Praveen have done an awful lot of bowling over the past 1.5 months - five Test matches straight. Asking for a lot from them. Both should be rested from the ODIs. I hope neither of their IPL teams is in that stupid Champions League thing after the England tour, also.
ravsdh Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 the fact that i was there made it even more galling. having these skinhead, smelly, tattooed (and probably jobless) ***ers screaming enger-land in my fricking face it doesnt get worse
