ganeshran Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Is he fit yet.. I am sure a Nehra injury can be "arranged"
Sachinism Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Flamy if you were a real man there would be no 69, no giving, only receiving :P Joking aside, he would have been handy, but even he sucks at the death, we'd have to make sure to complete his quota up front. That is what we gave to do with Munaf, he just serves up length deliveries at the death. He got hit for a 4 and 6 off length balls and followed that up with another length delivery which luckily the batsman mistimed and raina took a brilliant catch
b555 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 actually munaf was trying to get the batsman slog and get a wicket same leg cutter twice first one was 6 second one wicket
gult Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I think Munaf patel is doing quite well in his absence. So, we are not really missing him.
achilles Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Koomar was last heard saying, "MSD is the Obama of cricket". Chaila, sycophancy ki hadd par
saneindian Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Again the "tum hote to asia hota" syndrom. The 15 in the squad are good enough to win it for us. If they wont, lets accpet we aren't good enough rather than talk about "what ifs". If nehra hadn't lost his form If Sreesanth wasn't as expensive If Bhajji had bowled his first 5 overs well If Dhoni still had some luck.. If Sehwag and Sachin could still roll their arm over for a few overs If Dhoni had heard Strauss' nicks If Viart and Gambo wouldn't have spilled chances If Virat and Raina could have converted the run out chances Goes on and on..We played poorly lost it. The worst thing is we did not learn much from the England game and repeated the old mistakes. Unless we rectify those mistakes, we will suffer.
pakexpress Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 yep agreee.... If Salman Butt hadn't been involved in spot fixing (pak best opening batsmen for the last 3-4yr If Amir ------------(one of the best bowler going around) If Asif-----( he wouldn't have made it to 11, but still) If Shoaib Malik wasn't being an @sss (10000 times better than Hafeez) If MOYo wasn't such a drama Queen If MYK was still the leading the team.. oh well..just IF's

Ultimate_Game Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 What's the status of Praveen Kumar's injury by the way? If he is fit by the quarter finals (I think March 23rd or 24th) maybe Indian team can arrange an "accident" involving Chawla at the nets and get PK in like Aussies did with Hussey :winky: If Praveen Kumar is in the team, we can have two decent bowlers up front - Zaheer and PK followed by two spinners who can control middle overs - Harbhajan and Ashwin with Yuvraj & Pathan sharing 10 overs. Plus PK managed to find swing in any conditions with the new ball.

ZodiaC Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Well I'm sure we would have played Nehra still and PK would've done what Munaf did.
