Sid Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 Dravid said that in a post match press confrence .
maniac Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Deserves one big sendoff...Glad he is retiring on his own rather than being remembered as phased out from ODI's
Sid Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 He says he was shocked to see getting selected in the side,so he thought its the right time to retire. Shows the lack of communication between players and selectors
riwi999 Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I believe he has retired from ODIs AND from Tests?
Sid Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 This selection committee is a big joke, earlier we get rid of this committee better for us.They have no planning and looks like no communication with players as well.
SachDan Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 He says he was shocked to see getting selected in the side' date=so he thought its the right time to retire. Shows the lack of communication between players and selectors :hysterical:
Sid Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 Dravid said "I want to concentrate solely on test cricket ,thats why I am retiring from ODI's " :nice:
riwi999 Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Oh, ok. I did not see the interview but NDTV said "Dravid retires from ODIs and Test cricket".
riwi999 Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 NDTV have corrected it now to say "ODIs and T20 cricket". So we still have him for Tests for a bit.
ganeshran Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 only retiring from ODI and T20s. Must be a farewell match for him
SachDan Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Dravid said "I want to concentrate solely on test cricket ' date='thats why I am retiring from ODI's " :nice:[/quote'] :two_thumbs_up:

Andrew Peter Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I appreciate the BCCI s decision to let him play Odi Cricket for the one last time and retire with pride intact. Great Decision by BCCI to include Dravids name in the list only to give him a well deserved farewell.
Rahul Dravid Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Dravid Retiring from ODI's after England Series and the great man again, does a great thing. sad and happy at the same time... its good he'll get a official goodbye... and itll be great to see him wearing blue once again. hopefully he gets a odi 100 as well. :)
