TheWall Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Ya I know this guy that is very handy with this kinda of info his email: shoaib_malik_phasstvisas@desiwife.com EFFING tROLL
Fontaine Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 imo hes been targeted just for some lulz by the babus There have probs been thousands people of Pakistan origin that passed through India even after mumbai attacks that seem to have no problem Heck Khawaja even toured during 2005 to India, you would think they would have a background profile by now if they were do serious......??? Are you people telling me, that the Indian embassy will get on the phone to the pakodi embassy and confirm whethere or not Usman is a terrorist or not? :cantstop::cantstop: Pakodi embassy? :hysterical: Honestly, I don't care what they do. It's a political issue, so there's no right or wrong. Only bureacracy.
IKnowU Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 He hasnt been refused and yes Pakis go through extra screening, you want me to post news/articles/history to defend it ? Im not really arguing whether his visa is refused/canceled/delayed. All im saying is that the babus threw a spanner into the normal process even though they knew the procedure for Pakistanis origin people. I mean what are they gonna analyse from Usman? A kid grown up and bred in Oz with Oz passport. What information do they think they have that makes it enough to 'delay' his visa???? where would he be, if CA didnt intervene and help him out? Would he have to go around in circles asking various babus to fix it for him and add a bit of bribes here and there if he was just a ordinary civilian? Would he even be brought up in the first place? What annoys me, is that he will get the visa eventually when the immigration could have avoided all this hassle in the first place. But they do it anyway for shiites and giggles
ganeshran Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Its a known fact that Pakistani (even expats) visas take longer to process in India and vice versa. Just like the Pakistanis in the canadian team, visas will be issued but with a delay.
ganeshran Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 IKU , its not something done for lulz. There are fixed extra screening procedures for every person of Pakistani origin. They have to be cleared before the visas are issued. This came into place after Headley was not subjected to scrutiny because he had a US passport. If an Indian origin cricketer had to go to Pakistan, he will be subject to similar scrutiny.

Every High Comission has an appeals procedure for this exact sort of thing. These guys have far more pressing and important issues like sorting out trade negotiations, tourism trade, cultural/social exchange programs, and industry/agricultural $$$$ issues between the two countries to have time to "have a few lulz" with some random visa applicant.

Im just going of the article "There has been a stoppage in the system at the Indian High Commission in Australia with Usman's application," CA spokesman Philip Pope said. "Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia are seeking to understand the detail behind the stoppage with our colleagues at the Indian High Commission." If the is normal for Pakistanis born people, then they should know and accept it!!! By why are they are blowing hot steam over this issue? It certainly doesnt seem like they are angry over a 'delay'
ganeshran Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Visa policies are not tailored for specific individuals (except diplomats). Its not like Usman Khwaja will have a different process to get a visa than other people His being an athlete makes no difference, unless athletes are specifically exempted from requiring the additional security checks.

Well there goes half my argument if not all :embarrassing: I know you guys still love me :icflove:

Cricket Tragic Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 The visa is being processed and hasn't been blocked or refused. Khawaja needs to shut the **** up. What is with this generation that they feel the need to mention everything on social networking sites?
kabira Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 same thing happened with the Cheema, but he was given visa. India has every right to check each and every application thoroughly. We got screwed by Headley.
Utalk Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 Couple of my mates experienced this before the WC. They were told their applications will be sent to India and by the time they come back world cup would be over. Inconvenience but a price you pay in the world we live in.
Alchemist Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 BTW, Why is the OP worried about events regarding Champions League ? I thougt that people across the border were not interested in these sh**y tournaments.

Rajiv Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Let the immigration do their job and verify Khwaja and family's history. No offense but headley seemed a safe bet with US Citizenship as well

singhprakash72 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 If he has nothing to hide ...he should be cool. He cannot be denied Visa just on basis of his birthplace. India has suffered too much to give any special preference for an cricketer or actor or celebrity.
