Granted our batsmen performed below par... except for Dravid. But I believe our bowling is the root cause of our misfortunes this series. Given that we were playing on essentially very bowler friendly tracks our bowlers had no business letting Eng score 500+ totals on those wickets. A special mention to Zaheer Khan. I love the guy and he still is THE bowler for us, but I am extremely disappointed in him. I couldn't believe when he turned up in the first test fat and unfit especially after having WI series off. He should have known better, specially has he knows how crucial his fitness is to our chances of winning. The minute he got injured, the series was as good as lost.

Batsmen have to take the flak. Our two best moments in the series were due to bowlers - reducing Eng to 60/5 in the 1st Test and bowling Eng out for 220 in the 2nd. Pity, batsmen couldn't do anything at all the whole series.

Blame goes to everyone, don't single out. Dravid aside and Mishra today none of the batsmen played one single innings with conviction.

Batsmen are more responsible. Most important thing in ENgland is havnig good opening stands which we never go. Last time we did well because our openers were far more solid.

bowler friendly tracks?are u high ,pitches have been flat and english bowlers were bowling at 130km/h today ,fact is you need decent technique and will to fight like mishra showed,but raina has gone in to his shell ,dhoni is hit and miss and gambhir was injured so it was batting whihc let us down

The "best" batting lineup cant amass more than 300 in a single innings out of 8, is enough proof to say that, Batting was worse than the bowling.

The bowlers dismissed England for less than 540 once in the series. The batsmen didn't pass 300 in the series. Really, both the batsmen and bowlers were epic fails, the bowlers marginally better because of that first innings at Trent Bridge.
