Has suffered too many injuries in his career so far. Broke down in the Duleep Trophy semi final early this year and even in the 2009-10 season missed a lot of matches due to injuries. Have seen him a bowl in a couple of Ranji games at Roshanara Stadium in Delhi. Swings the ball and has a lovely indipper, but sprays the ball a lot. But is a good talent and with some work, could become quite a good bowler.

He is bound get injured because he has never played any age-level cricket and is a newbie in cricket so fitness he will have to work hard if he wants to play long. He must be attending fast bowling fitness and traiting camp organized by BCCI along with 10-15 other fast bowlers, but BCCI is sleeping. There are so many fast bowlers to work in India, but do BCCI even care? This is the biggest problem. In off season BCCI must have a one-month training program at NCA to keep these guys fit and let them know how to keep the fitness level up. Otherwise, we will continue to see RP gate again and again.

At least one month. I think any player young player that isn't playing domestic/international/county/List A cricket should routinely report to the NCA for training sessions. Good habits that are developed at the start of a career stay that way till the end. Good to see his bowling action finally. He does have a front foot block which will help him generate pace. Hopefully he can continue to work on it.

I refuse to believe that we don't have decent test level bowlers. There is lot of material to work with. The problem is as soon as they ahve a good season or do something great, they start getting media attention etc and some of them lose focus. the goal should be to find 10 good pacers who have desire to play test cricket, who is willing to work hard no matter what. These bunch should be sent to England, Australia, NZL, SA etc to get them experience etc. There is this pacer from Rajasthan Chahar, first season was great for him, He can swing big both ways, and was fairly accurate as well. Lot of talent, but lets see how he goes about.

where is that dude from u-19 world cup winning team..what was his name' date=' Kaul or something. He looked sharp.[/quote'] Yes Sidharth Kaul. He had a good debut ranji trophy game for punjab but has not palyed many games. Punjab is an unstable ranji team. They make too many changes. He is still very young, only 21. He looked in 130s at that time and was only 17.

Honestly, I am not impressed with this guy, Pawan Suyal. He is too short for international level and for such height he should be having 145 k speed must. Don't think he has that pace either otherwise he'd have been in limelight already. He don't have even athletic body, lil bit over weight may be. In the upcoming ranji season, I'd like to see the performances of these guys, Harshal Patel and Ishwar Chodhary from Gujarat and see how much they have progressed.

Baby face, bowls at even lower than Vinay Kumar. Shorter in height as well. His brother Uday Kaul was my classmate in 10th class in Shishu Niketan school, Chandigarh. He looks a better player who is a batsman. You guys should rather keep an eye on Ishwar Choudhary and Harshal Patel from Gujarat and Sandeep Sharma from Punjab and guys from Jharkhand and UP. You will find some better prospects out of these.

RKT since we can't see the delivery , do u have an idea of him pace, Ishwar Choudhury is 125 to 132 range, medium. If u r not too tall then ur skills and pace should be up there, swing , seam, good short ball like Waqar,Malinga, he is a left hander so his skills will count for a lot.

Malinga is just 5'-6" or 5'-7" If he can bowl fast then I don't think 5' -9" is short
Malinga is a special talent. Even if you are 6" taller than Malinga does not mean, you are capable bowler. His standards are very very high. I've not seen Malinga geting beaten in the last couple of years. He might have had some bad days, Once in a year may be but nobody has been able to dominate him as yet. Coming back to the point, anything shorter than 6' or 5'11" maximum is not good enough for international unless you have exceptional pace and ability

Praised by none other than Rahul Dravid on his Ranji Trophy debut against Karnataka in 2009, Pawan Suyal made a dream entry into domestic cricket. A rank outsider till the previous season, Suyal picked 13 wickets in his debut season, and signed up for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League in 2010. But things haven't gone according to plan since. At 21, when he was expected to be ready to make the jump to the next level, a freak knee injury on the eve of Delhi's Ranji match against Railways in 2010 sees him fighting to regain fitness and get back to running, let alone bowling. Not only has he failed to play a single IPL or Champions League match, he is also certain to miss the upcoming Ranji season as it will take him another three to four months to regain full fitness and get back to his bowling run-up. Suyal said that the timing of the injury couldn't have been worse. "Injuries might be part and parcel of every sportsperson's career, but my injury couldn't have come at a worse time. Not only did I fail to play a role in the Duleep Trophy match last year, I also had to miss the whole fourth season of the IPL," Suyal told Mail Today from Mumbai where he is undergoing rehabilitation. "The team management at Mumbai Indians felt that it was apt that I get my knee scanned and after the reports came, surgery seemed the most suitable solution. It is irritating when a freak accident can play havoc with your career," he said. Suyal had got hit on the knee by the ball resulting in a bad fracture. He believes that taking the injury lightly cost him dear. "While I skipped the match against Railways, I was back in the squad for the match against Mumbai, a grave mistake. I didn't take the injury too seriously." "It was only during the Duleep Trophy match that I realised that I was making an error by taking the injury lightly," he said. "I went to the Mumbai Indians camp and the management was looking forward to fielding me." "But it was frustrating to get up every day hoping that I would get to take the field and then realise that I wasn't close to being 100 per cent fit." "It was after consulting the team doctors there that I decided to have surgery. And now here I am undergoing rehabilitation and itching to regain full fitness as soon as possible." "No cricketer likes to warm the bench due to injury and I am no different," Suyal said. The left-arm paceman is distraught that he is all set to miss the upcoming domestic season as well. "Recovering fully is very important and that is a lesson I have learnt very early in my career. While the eagerness to get back on to the playing field saw me ignore the knee injury and suffer as a result, I don't want a repeat of that incident." "So I would much rather recuperate fully and then get back on to the playing field than waste another season with a recurring knee injury. I hope to be fully fit by the end of January, which means I will definitely miss this Ranji season," Suyal said. DDCA too busy to inform BCCI about Suyal's injury Busy with infighting and internal politics, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) failed to inform the Indian cricket board about the injury status of pacer Pawan Suyal that led to his selection in the Rest of India (ROI) squad for the upcoming Irani Trophy. If spelling Suyal as B Suval wasn't enough, the Indian selectors picking him in the squad raised quite a few eyebrows as those following the domestic circuit clearly know that he has been nursing a knee injury for the last two-and-half months. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to take responsibility for the error saying that it wasn't possible for the board to keep a track of injuries of every single player and the DDCA had failed to inform them leading to the goof-up. Suyal, who was replaced by R Vinay Kumar in the ROI squad on Saturday, said that he had informed Chetan Chauhan, chairman of selectors of the Delhi Ranji squad, about his injury status. "I messaged Chetan sir about my injury status two weeks back. So, when I was informed about being picked for the Irani Trophy, I informed the BCCI official that I am recuperating from a knee surgery and that I can't take part in the match," Suyal told Mail Today. "I also told him (board official) that I had informed DDCA about my injury status." With the DDCA and its Cricket Improvement Committee involved in a tussle over the candidates to be selected for the posts of selectors and coaches for the ensuing domestic season, it is clear that Suyal's injury status took a backseat leading to the mess. Rahul Dravid , Dhawan see potential , would mean he is good, too bad the injury, hopefully he recovers to come back stronger, maybe chance to play some 4 day games, a tours or against visiting sides
