Players who surprised you the most. like a) Players ,you thought that they are gonna be stars and impressed you when they started their careers , but surprisingly faded after a few seasons/games. b) Players , who you thought are just mediocre and can never make it good at intl level but improved and became greats.

What are your expectations from cricket especially Indian cricket in future? Do you think that test cricket can survive for another 1000 matches? Have you ever been to India? Do your kids follow cricket? What kind of cricket viewer you're? How do you react to different situations of the match? How would you describe yourself as a person? Which person do you admire most? What's your opinion about this community (ICF)?

(Hope this question is not too personal) 2) When you called "CricketAnandaSwamy" as one of the greatest posters, were you serious ? :giggle: 1) I got burnt out when I was about 30. Many of the people who joined around the same time as me quit after a few years. It took a toll on me but I genuinely love my job. Over the years, I've learnt to balance my life out better. I take extended breaks from work every 3-4 years. I'm on a sabbatical from work now. 2) You're Swamy, aren't you? This is the second time you've asked me this question. :hmmm: I think I said that he was the greatest troll I've seen (or that's what I meant anyway). Unlike the ones we see on this forum, he was subtle and there was always an element of truth in what he said. The members tried to get him banned so many times but they couldn't because he technically didn't break any rules. The way he used to get under the skin of the English posters was brilliant. He knew a fair bit about the game as well.

I will think of some more... 1) Because he is God. 2) I think that your environment does influence you in several ways beyond the superficial things, including the way you think. Since I came over quite early in life, I guess I'm English in certain ways. The years at university changed me more than anything has in my life. I've not spent all my time here though since I worked for a while in New York as well and I'm now contemplating a move back to India. 3) An English rose? Never seen one brah.

Have you played cricket at any level, if yes, where, when, etc. Is cricket more than just a sport for you? 1) It's right up there. 2) Yeah, I played club cricket here in England and school/u-16 state cricket back in India. 3) I spend a fair bit of time following the game and I'm passionate about it but one or two series don't have a major impact on me because I've seen the good, bad and ugly over the years. I love the game as much as any player or team but it's not life or death. I travelled all the way to Australia and watched us getting smashed in Melbourne in 1999. It didn't stop me from going back to Sydney for the test in '04 though.

Which part of India you are originally from and I think you are from England if so where in England? Is investment banking a dream job because of the money involved or because of the free time available? I follow English domestic cricket pretty closely. I follow Indian domestic cricket as well but not as closely (certainly not as much as some of the posters on this forum). I catch up on pretty much every international match that is played as long as it's not T20. When I'm busy with work, I watch all the games I've missed on a Sunday like a marathon DVD session. I've lived in a few cities in India and I now live in London. I also worked for a while in the US. There isn't much free time. The hours of work is one of the major drawbacks of the job actually. The money is what attracts a lot of people to it but you won't be there for long if you don't enjoy what you're doing. The first few years as an analyst are **** and it's tough to get through it. The opportunity to work with a bunch of smart people on deals that the rest of the world will read about is as good as the big bonus. I worked alongside Scott Mead in the largest M/A deal in history. The only thing I'd give that up for is to play test cricket for India.
