Whats with the collapses?

I think Dhoni and Raina has played major roles in collapses.. they come at position 6 and 7 and been frequently playing rash shots instead of playing according to situation..

2009 we peaked as a team, it was our best year in terms of W/L in ODI's. The drop in average by 8 runs just goes to show how our lower-middle order has become weak. Is it possible to do this stats for no.3 to no.7?

Can you explain what exactly do you want?
You've done the averages for players batting from no.1 to no.7, Is it be possible for you to do it for players batting from no.3 to no.7 (middle order).

For Pagalpanti pagalpanti.jpg I guess if had checked it for 90s then it would have showed us that our middle order was non-existent. :hehe: Look at year 2000, team was heavily dependent on Sachin-Ganguly pair. For CT batting16and711.jpg

Even the lower order players seem to be going for the glory shots time and again instead of sensibly giving the strike to the more set players. This was happening in the world cup and continuing now as well.

Thanks for that. Quite surprised really that our middle order averages more than the top order, although it seemed like our middle order has been weak for sometime now given so many collapses we've had since world cup. But over-all the drop in batting averages is quite drastic, worrying sign.
