james Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Sad day for Indian cricket - may it rest in pieces.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Why not declare it the bloody Chennai team........... N.Srinivasan is the male counter part of Mayawati.......
Trichromatic Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 If Srikanth remains the selector then we might new write a stories of embarrassment.
yoda Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Why not declare it the bloody Chennai team........... N.Srinivasan is the male counter part of Mayawati....... How many Chennai players were in the test team? ONE How many chennai players were in the ODI team before injuries? ONE How many chennai players are in the ODI team after the entire country is injured? TWO
Pagalpanti Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 If Srikanth remains the selector then we might new write a stories of embarrassment. Like World cup 2011 right? :giggle:
TheYuvi02 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Ye sala ek chewtiya hai..... we won world cup because of players like zaheer, viru, yuvi and sachin who were there even before this fool, i would like to hear what all srikanth lovers have to say about 4-0 rape from england and now about to be whitewash in odi

TheYuvi02 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 There aren't many. yea but there are plenty of people acting like srikkant had a lot to do with winning wc and being ex number 1 test team(he helped make it "ex") whenever srikkanth is criticized someone comes up with wc winner.
CG Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Like World cup 2011 right? :giggle: he tried his best to lose india the cup.
akshaywekhande Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Bad news for team India fans like us remember he is the one who selects players like vinay kumar, ravi jadeja, saha & continuesly neglects players like Ajinkya rahane.
North Sea Tiger Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 How many Chennai players were in the test team? ONE How many chennai players were in the ODI team before injuries? ONE How many chennai players are in the ODI team after the entire country is injured? TWO  The point is: M Vijay, Mukund, Ashwin, Badrinath, Raina, Saha (Dhoni is also a Chennai player but he is an exception) - All Chennai (CSK) players were selected in the recent past ahead of Rahane, Manoj Tiwari, Pujara, Yousuf Pathan etc. Why was Anirudha Srikkanth selected for the Emerging Players tournament? The only thing emerging is Anirudha's belly.
Trichromatic Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 3 years and India hasn't found 1 batsman test batsman for no 6 position. What would be excuse given by selectors? I don't think there are no test batsmen in domestic cricket. Then our bowling. 3 years and spin department is going downhill. How many spinners were given chance - 3 or 4. Nehra bowled well in some matches of WC. I understand that selectors didn't want to take risk of getting him in the test side. He might break there. But he could have played in ODIs ahead of Vinay Kumar. It would have certainly added some variety to the bowling attack. Selection policies are bizarre.
asterix Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 The Maharathis created a false sense of security. I hope once these Maharathis (especially Sachin who calls the shots) retire then the Coach can take some control of the affairs. Do we have a bowling coach? If yes then kick him out as he clearly is not doing his job and so as the fitness coach (if there's any). With Maharathis gone from the scene and the coach getting some breathing space, I hope the selecotrs and the Captain see some light to not overly depend on Batting to win matches and get some skilled your bowlers in the team (not trundlers please). The whole generation looked up to battin maestros like Sachin, RD, VVS etc. to focus on batting only. I hope with these Maharathis gone, people start taking bowling as a career seriously..
rajmarie Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 The fitness side has to be looked upon badly. Just to understand our mentality...I was ready somewhere the views about fitness for bowlers from our former bowling coach V. Prasad. He said..that the bowler has to train & do quite a lot of physical excersice in off season. Then when the season is going to start...he has to stop that...& do lots & lots of bowling to get into rythm. 2 points I dont understand.....1st...what abt our Intl. bowlers. Since there is hardly any off season for them...no wonder they are so unfit. 2nd...why stop being fit when the season is nearing the start....this means all domestic bowlers becomes unfit by the time the domestic season is half way in. I think he was talking from the training prespective of NCA. Again...no wonder that is an useless place. There is no way NCA will create strong...long lasting fast bowler. All it can do is create a tudler

Indian bowlers get lot of time.
Trichromatic Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 15-99 International matches in 4 years and still bowlers find it difficult to remain fit.
