asterix Posted September 11, 2011 Author Posted September 11, 2011 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Don't laugh.. He used to block those using his legs joined together.. Now all those balls which Ashwin bowls goes between his legs. Maybe he is not used to now after keeping so long to Darter.. :cantstop:
TheYuvi02 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Have you seen the new Dhoni ad for CLt20? He is practicing very well for important tours like IPL and CL, who cares about the england series?
Cricket Tragic Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 ^Not the same crap again.
Rajiv Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 ^^ Win a World Cup and then talk - Dhoni says
panesarv Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I think Duncan Fletcher is doing a **** job. Dhoni seemed much better under Kersten
TheYuvi02 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 ^^ Win a World Cup and then talk - Dhoni says I would love to see how well dhoni does in a year when our best players are gone.... then we will see how great a captain he is. Even in this series with all the top players he flopped and got ownd 4-0, I doubt he will continue captaining once those players are gone and we go from a top team to just good team.
gaurav92 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Dhoni played really well under tough circumstances and was far more attacking than he was in the earlier games. Its just that our trundlers and the weather didn't help. I am sure the bowling needs some variety in terms of pace, its time now we give Varun a chance as the series is over now :((

rkt.india Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I dont know why people are blaming Dhoni here. if our bowlers cannot stop opposition chasing 280 after 63/3 at one stage then it says a lot about bowling. Aaron can bowl quick and he could easily have played him ahead of Munna, but problem is one bowler may not make much of a difference that too a 21 year old inexperience debutant. Our bowling in a whole sucks and success is achieved by a group of good players as this is a team game.

b555 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Our trundlers bowled well in pwoer play than super phhhhassssssssssssssssssst england bowlers. RP singh should have taken that catch and we would have won easily. :hysterical:

There are several posts. Dravid will play like Dravid why would I blame Dravid then. It was tactical failure.
achilles Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Asterixji, Its one just one tour. Lets see how he gets back from this disaster. That will be the true test of his character. Don't write him off yet. Thats all I ask. " And thus, like the wounded oyster, he mends his shell with pearl " - Ralph Waldo Emerson " Don't judge a man by his propensity to fall in a situation, instead judge him by his propensity to bounce back from any disaster " - Abraham Lincon " England have won this ODI series, but come next month we will still be the world champions and it'll still be raining in England " - Mariyam Maate
vamos_rafa Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 MSD haters rant again. I seriously don't understand what do people expect from him? If anything my respect for him has increased. This may sound far-fetched but amidst the bunch of jokers, he still has been able to maintain a sense of calmness about him. Any normal person would have given Ravindar Jadeja a great dressing down when he threw that wild throw. He just does not have any resources to play with!!! Munaf was 1 bowler whom he used to trust upon during the WC and in the SA tour during the death overs. But even he's having a tough time. And I read somewhere that he should have attacked in the Powerplays, did they want a 4 slip and a gully field? Inspite of the trundlers bowling, they did not fly away during the PP. Have some mercy on people guys. Don't be so fickle minded for heaven's sake. Also, people seem to be too concerned about not picking Varun Aaron as if he's some Dennis Lillee kept on bunch. I have 1 question for all of them. We all saw what kind of a bowler is Steven Finn and he proved it yesterday as well with the way he used the new ball. Any normal person would have picked him above Bresnan, if I am not looking for a batting option which they were not considering Tremllet was their first choice bowler. Had the Poms been in the same soup as we are, would we have metted out the same cricticism for the Poms? No!! It's just that they have things to harp upon when India is losing.
Sid Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 OP is a certified gloryhunter and a bandwagoner, so no comments on this thread. Dhoni is unfairly criticized. People just criticize him for not being at his best as a Captain - they don't realize that he was concerned about more important upcoming series' like the IPL CL so he couldn't concentrate on this series :giggle: Have you seen the new Dhoni ad for CLt20? He is practicing very well for important tours like IPL and CL' date=' who cares about the england series?[/quote'] Moronic posts.
saneindian Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Forget captaincy and bowling or batting for a while, let me be the Mr.Obvious, fielding is the difference between the two sides. They save around 25 runs on the field, and we, despite Raina's and Kohli's superb efforts, give 15 runs to the opposition. Doesn't hwlp that all our bowlers are average fielders and everytime the ball chases them, the opposiiton runs 2 or 3 :(

I'm not an expert like you guys are..I might be a certified gloryhunter and bandwagoner.. As per your logic all the cricket experts like Ganguly, Sunny, Ravi etc. are bandwagoners.. How come they praise Dhoni sometime and criticise his tactics, captaincy, batting line up, team selections, field placings & bowling strategies? Either they should always praise him and don't criticise him or vice-versa. There's not middle path for these so-called experts. They should learn something from experts like you and many other fanboys here.. You are not a bandwagoner..Why beacuse you don't criticise Dhoni or his tactics..Don't you? All you fanboys are so politically correct that when the going gets tough, you at the most post this:  That way you carry on being fanboys and also hint a little bit of criticism..
