Graham Onions to replace injured Woakes Wednesday, October 19, 2011 Mohali, Oct 19: Durham pacer Graham Onions will replace injured seamer Chris Woakes in the England squad for the last two ODIs and the one-off Twenty20 against India, a media release issued by England and Wales Cricket board stated. Woakes was ruled out of the tour due to left quadriceps strain. The release stated: "Woakes suffered the injury on Sunday during England practice in Delhi and will now undertake rehabilitation period that rules him out of the remaining three ODIs against India." Onions will join the squad in Mumbai ahead of the fourth ODI on October 23. The 22-year-old Woakes didn't feature in the playing XI during the first two internationals even though he played in the couple of warm-up games against Hyderabad XI. In the first warm-up game, he scored 46 not out and grabbed two for 30 while in the second game he went for 28 wicket-less runs. Link to comment

King Tendulkar
Good lad Onions. Love his commentary. Humble and really admires Indian cricket, not fake in this. Remember him talikng about ZK how great he was and he learnt loads from watching him on swing/seam etc. Of course he will go out there and get in our faces. But genuinley loves his cricket from all players. Not a one eyed idiot Link to comment
daryl1985
Really like him as a test bowler not and ODI one though. He does seem like a very nice genuine lad though. He was doing punditry on the 2nd ODI the other day and i was impressed, quite articulate (for a northerner) Link to comment
Cricket Tragic
WTF? We're absolutely happy [England beat India] because we want cricket to grow in England. Rajiv Shukla, the new IPL commissioner, says England have lost a lot at cricket and football over the last 10 years and needed to win something :WTF: Link to comment
