Serani Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Maybe his fastest ball at 17 could clock 140 K but he was not that pace every over, either way if his fastest has gone from 140 to 155 ish then thats a pretty decent improvement.

I had watched him in U19 WC in 2008 he was 18 then and was bowling very slow. Fastest bowler of that WC were Tim Southee, Adil Raza, Mathew Arnold, and Wayne Parnell. He has not yet reached to 155, fastest is around 151K or 93 mph
rkt.india Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 Hate to shatter illusions..but Finn used to bowl at 140 kph when he first started as a 17 year old. I recall seeing articles on him back then. Unless he is going to bowl 150 kph regularly, I don't see what is so startling. He lost his pace and has only just got back to what he used to bowl 3-4 years ago. No denying he's a better bowler now but that action is not the best. Simply being stronger isn't the secret of pace as we all know, otherwise weight lifters would be express pace. Don't know what are you talking about. IN U19 WC in 2008, he was pathetic in terms pace, was not even looking like touching 135K, let alone 140, and also was very brittle in terms of stamina.
achilles Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 What a *******! They showed previously unseen footage of the 2nd ODI where Finn had a shoulder barge with Virat which Finn initiated. But yeah, the bastard got away with that. Today, the ******* swore at my player with the choicest of the swears with the F-word being heard multiple times loud and clear. What a ****!
Cricket Tragic Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Let's not get carried away. Kohli sledged the **** out of Bairstow earlier this series.
achilles Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 And Finn pulls off a masterstroke. He goes to Virat, smiles and has a friendly discussion with an animated Virat... all in front of the umpire. And this will be enough to fool the match referee.
Cricket Tragic Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 ^ Did that happen? Yeah, he was fielding at slip when the spinner was bowling and he really let the batsmen have it.
achilles Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'm curious to know how much he swore as compared to this guy whose thread this is. And this guy has just not learnt where to draw the line.

Show_stopper Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Antics apart...what a talent for the English side!!
WeStMiDz Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 No doubt he is a high class fast bowler but his behaviour is pathetic. That send off towards Raina after HE instigated the whole thing should not be forgetten. Loved how Kohli gave him some straight back when he whipped him for four.
achilles Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 must have some aussie ancestry within him No dude. Aussies do it smartly. This guy is completely rowdy, like our sadakchaap bewda.

Serani Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Cant wait for Broad and Finn bowling and abusing in tandem.
daryl1985 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Cant wait for Broad and Finn bowling and abusing in tandem. Neither can Yuvraj and Kohli!
Jersey #10 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 ^add Raina to that list...he was quite heated today I want to see this kid against Sachin and Sehwag who prefer to answer back with the bat instead of the mouth and that's the ultimate insult a bowler can get anyway
Jersey #10 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 It's actually nice to see the Indians answering back. It all started with Gambhir and Sreesanth later carried on by UV and then the notorious kid Kohli who curses at anyone and everyone.
Tiger80 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Cant wait for Broad and Finn bowling and abusing in tandem. Lucrative IPL contracts will make them to behave like secretary :two_thumbs_up:

He took a serious amount of stick in England (he was poor in the test matches but England probably went too far) and now he is giving it back and owning them in his home conditions. Anyone know why he has targeted Samit Patel so much for his abuse? is it because he spoke about England sledging the India players?
