akshayxyz Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 And one more thing, in case you don't get a response this time, .. and few months down the line, you feel this was your dream job - even then do not hesitate to follow up.
Cricket Tragic Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Of course you should. If he doesn't reply to the email, give him a call. You've not got much to lose and a lot to gain.
WC2011INDIA Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Send him a short reminder email. If he doesn't email, then call him. It can be pretty hard to find jobs in Canada unless you are in Western Canada (BC and AB). I worked on a short-term project under the supervision of a professor for the past 3 months, on a contract basis. I am hoping that with more experience, I will find something permanent. Otherwise, I will go back to India and pursue what I have had in mind for the past 1 year.
Shehezaada Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 everyone...i really appreciate the encouragement and advice! Thanks a lot yaaron. I did e-mail him last night....let's see what he says!

Shehezaada Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 Hey guys, wanted to thank everyone for their positive inputs! Turns out I got this job :) Be careful what you wish for though....these guys are straight shooting businessmen that expect you to work HARD. But I'm enjoying the work, and some of my coworkers are really cool. I keep my distance from the bosses lol though. My personality is kinda the joking type, and they most definitely are ALL business. I also tend to say whatever's on my mind...not a wonderful quality! But again, thanks again so much for everyone's advice. Really appreciate it :)
